haha why on earth would they go south from Grand Junction.  It doesn't exactly seem on the way to Salt Lake like I thought they'd go through

Alcan Spring Update:

The springs arrived but there were some problems with the order.  The rear springs were made stock length instead of the Alcan extended length design and we are still trying to figure out the front springs.  I emailed and called Alcan and so far they are taking great care of me.  The new set of rear springs are in process and they are waiting for gotrocks to give them a call to figure out what needs to be done with the front springs.

It would have been perfect to have the springs this weekend, but  :rivers:

Props to Alcan for the customer service so far!

New rear springs should be on the way early this week and the fronts will be shipped back and corrected.

On Friday gotrocks and I started unbolting the IFS and also removed the flares and running boards.  The cancer was more extensive than expected.

While gotrocks was removing the IFS, the mysterious engine master was tearing down the engine.  It had a few internal problems.  I think I heard him say that he had taken apart better looking engines that didn't run.  The last time I visited gotrocks we wheeled the rig.

Those fender flares made you some good lines to go ahead and chop/tub your fenders.  :flamer: Looks like it is nice to have that motor out for the sas, makes it easier to get to the back side of those brackets.

gotrocks

yeah it made it easier to get to the stuff.  The block will be getting worked on within the next 2 weeks and my buddy should be re assembling it hopefully shortly there after.  I kinda am at a standstill until the correct springs arrive.  Until then I'm going to get the rear shackle tubs put in, clean the frame up and build the front hanger.

gotrocks

oh blackdiamond forgot to mention that i think I broke my finger using the mini sledge.  It's almost 2 time the size of my other fingers and it hurts pretty bad.

I got 2 complete front ends sitting at my house.  Tell you what.  25 bucks plus shipping and I'll send you all 4.  I don't know how they all are but they all worked when they came out.  If blackdiamond has an objection I'll let you know but I don't think it'd be a problem

As far as I'm concerned, the parts are gotrocks to with as he wants, I have no use for them.  I would be excited to see BD benefit from the parts.

I think the plan is to trim the fenders just enough to cure the rust problem.  I don't need a lot of extra room to run 35's.  I have some ideas to discuss with gotrocks.
