I can't speak for MiniSimp, but the mind of an engineer is a scary thing, sometimes I appall myself with the stupid useless things my mind thinks.

bachelors guys.  I'm really sorry to tell you all this but I was kidnapped last week on Friday Morning around 4:00 AM by some of my groomsmen.  They broke into my house and pulled me out of bed and took me on my batchlers party.  I was all planning on getting A LOT done this weekend but didn't exactly have control over it.  We went down to the Dunes in Florance OR and rode dirtbikes for the weekend.  I'm really sorry bd I would've called you but I was out to service and I was hoping that gotrocksgirl would give you the heads up on what was happening.

But.... The runner was pulled into the shop tonight and the removal of the engine should be starting tomorrow.  Again I'm really sorry and I told my friends that they kinda owe me now since I wasn't able to get anything done, so hopefully I should have an army of guys here one of these nights and get some work done FINALLY

How about pulling the running boards, fender flares and rear bumper stuff and taking a picture?  That would be a huge step in the right direction.

ok guys I got some updates for ya'll

I was hoping that a couple of friends could show up and help out this afternoon but no one showed up so I just dug in and tried to see how much I could get done by myself

To make things a lot easier I took the hood off and started to pull stuff off the engine

when I drained the radiator I found a lot of oil in the coolent.  Not a good sign.  It makes me feel a little better about doing the rebuild.

after I finally got the vacume lines pulled things got a little easier with the it gave me more space to pull the wireing harness off

gotrocks

and finally I get to hook up the lift

finally the tranny and engine are split

and its finally out  it took my only 3.5 hours by myself.  I know some guys can do it faster but I felt pretty good doing it by myself.

This will deffinatly make the SAS go faster having all that access to the frame

all the stuff organized.  I hate seeing guys pull stuff all apart and make a mess, then try to find the correct bolts for putting it all back together

I plan on getting the engine torn down within the next week or so

Are you gonna do the sas with the engine in or out? What are those boggers going on?

with it out.  I can do it with it in of course but while I have the room I might as well cut it all out, clean the frame up and move the steering box.

those boggers I had for a few years and just hate to git rid of them.  They're 39's and even though I think they suck in the snow I really like them for mud and want to keep them for my buggy in the sand.

gotrocks asked me what color, if any, I wanted the engine to be painted.

There are so many colors to choose from, all without any added function.

I am leaning toward a primary or hunter green...after all the truck is going to be a  :turtle3:

Man, that 22re fits in there a lot nicer than the 3.0 that I pulled out of an 88.  Looks like fun gotrocks   can't wait to see the end result.  bd's runner is in good hands

I'm thinking that painting it "aluminum" might look better with just the valve cover being green.   :dunno:

I would go with a a nice coat of black, so you can paint the body whatever color you want and it still looks good.  :twocents:
