Your truck?  :slap:  Last I checked I still had the title.  :therethere:

I don't know if the truck transit will be complete in enough time for a Sunday work session.  I am planning to be in on the Seattle side of the water on Sunday evening, but I don't know what the plan is for meeting up with gotrocks and putting it on the trailer.

All I ask is that you take off the blackdiamond sticker on the tailgate if your going to run it very long, but if you're planning to go flatbed in the near future I wouldn't mind having it back to add to the "pile" of useless junk from from past memories.

I can't be down very long because the Mazda dealer has located my new car, if they can get permission to snag it from the port of Tacoma I should be able to pick it up very soon, otherwise it will have to go to Oregon and then come back via dealer trade.  It isn't sold yet, but the person they were able to contact can't authorize them to pick it up at the port, only standard dealer trades.  They are going to contact the general manager of the dealer in the morning.

Dunno what the deal concerning the truck trade is, but bd, you could keep/buy back the tailgate, and cut out that section of the 'gate with the sticker on it, and stick in in your garage (road sign style) or tack it onto the tailgate of your new runner, etc.  :dunno:

be kinda cool to keep that memory from your first rig, especially since they don't make the stickers anymore.

Oh ya there will be a build for my rig. Gotrocks has been having all the fun so now its my turn lol. The plan will be to take all the running gear and what not from my old wrecked runner and put it in BD's old rig. It will have 22re, w56, dual TC's, 5.29 with arbs front and rear. FROR full float rear37x14.5r15 toyo mud terrains and OBA. Things ill have to add will be longfields, histeer, mabey cam and header, and possibly a flat bed if time and money allow. Its goin to be low slung no more than 3 inches of lift with no body lift. Ill move the axle as far forward and possible and do what ever trimmin of fenders etc necessary oh and a flat belly or some sort of belly clearancing. Im excited to say the least.

Does no new info mean something good is happening?  :dunno:

I hope so!  Being a one-car family is doable, but a pain.   :)

The new axle is under its home and its now a roller.  Snowrunner has been working hard getting all the parts converted over and the transfercases should be assembled this weekend.  The motor is getting worked on as well and it should be in by the begining of the week.  We're still on schedule for you guys to come down on the weekend of the 17th.  Sorry for not having updates a little better.  Its dead week right now and I have finals next week.  I'm all done on Wednesday and most of next week will be open for me to get it all finished up.

blackdiamond

I just ordered the 2nd pair of shocks from Marlin.  If I waited much longer I would be driving home with only two shocks.  :smack:

No truck this weekend, plans were revised to get it next weekend.  It should arrive with a borrowed rear driveshaft.

:psss: Snowrunner - depending on what you and gotrocks have worked out we might need to talk about a driveshaft swap of some kind.  If the one I'm borrowing just needs some minor modifications I can probably do it much cheaper through a local shop rather than going via High Angle and paying all of the shipping charges.  There should still be two front, one two piece and one single piece rear shafts from my truck and the 89.  If your going to have to modify the one I'm borrowing it might not matter if you started with a different one.

The one you would be borrowing would be mine off my 85 runner. I have dual casses in it and it should work just perfect in yours. Only thing is I need it back before april 1st. Im plannin on havin the truck ready to rock and roll by then for our snow run. Other than that I dont mind one bit  if you borrow it. Ill have to get you some pics of it when I get a chance. Got my axles under it with the 37's and 1. 5inch spacers front and rear. Looks pretty sweet. Im acutally thinking about taking off my springs and goin back to stock and doin a little cutting and axle movin.

gotrocks

bd weren't the shocks suppose to arrive by now.  I haven't seen anything and just wondered what was going on.

update:

The engine is nearly completed and coming along pretty nice.  Snowrunner assembled the cases together with the shift fork conversion and he should be able to drop it all in later today or monday.  Aaron is going to paint up the new fenders for you and those should be on shortly as well.  Sorry I haven't gotten any pictures up recently I will have some up tonight.  With pictures of the new engine and what it looks like right now sitting on its own weight.

blackdiamond

I just put up a thread to find out what happened.  I guess we can purchase locally if they don't show up by Friday.

heres some pictures like I promised.

I finally got the shim for the head.  So HOPEFULLY it will get finished tomorrow.  I don't have any pictures of the engine but there isn't really much to look at so far.

Aaron came by today and got the new fenders and picked up the paint.  He should be shooting them soon and make that front end look A LOT better.  The hi steer also got on today and Snowrunner said he'd probably get the brakes done tomorrow.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

The irony of it all.  I was working on my wife's sisters car last night until after 11:30 so I didn't get a chance to see the pictures and they are not showing up here at work.  I'll have to try a computer on the old system.
