I called a couple weeks ago and they said it would be done around the start of the year.  hopefully this doesnt turn into a huge ordeal to get like my eor cage was

Ramrod

ok so today I actually did something to my toyota.  I actually finished drilling and taping the steering box and got it all put back together and also finished putting together my dual ultimates besides putting the output flanges because I'm not sure what im gonna use for those yet.  so its finally making progress and I have tons of stuff for it sitting in my room ready for installation

did it over at joeys but it was a no brainer.  I coulda done it in my bedroom if the pitman arm wasnt such a pregnant dog to get off

Pat where abouts in PorKland? got time to hook up for a cocktail? Nova looks tough you guys gotta keep the black shine runner rims on it. My 72 Nova fooled alot of people with the plain black rims on it, the look on vette owners faces when a 35 year old car is leaving them behind is funny as :pokinit:!!

edit: just watched the videos of the Nova, got the gears turning in my head, "hmmm I need another hot rod project"

Ramrod

me and a buddy are going to hang out with some chicks he knows at the university there.  Yeah that novas bad ass now but it still has a stumble we cant figure out and we've tried all kinds of :pokinit:.  it actually is set up with the rims that way the back ones are black ralleys with oldschool slicks and the fronts are 4" wide torque thrust d's with super narrow tires.  Ive been driving it quite a bit and its definitly a head turner and still drives smooth at 120

KYOTA

does it have an Edelbrock carb on it? that was one of my problems, had an Edelbrock 750 on it and had a stumble off the line. Ended up buying a jet kit with jets needles and springs and started playing around with that and the timing, helped alot but the 3500 stall helped alot too

edit: dont blame ya I'd be hangin with the females too !!  :talkingn:

Ramrod

no its got a quick fuel technologies 650 carb on it which is a little small but still a bad ass carb and we have tried jetting it.  Yeah its kinda pointless for me to be going up there having a girlfriend already and all but it will be nice to see some new scenery.  Let me know if anyone needs and parts up there and i'll bring them with

hammerdown

looking forward to see your build finished. you will be happy buying nice stuff from the get go.  :clap2:

boggerunner

u havin carb problems too, my 283's carb is a pile too, it is stumbling off the line, and u have to pump it a bit, then it screams in the higher rpm's

Yota87Truck

Sweet rig, do you have anymore recent pics?

My 305 carb runs great. Even at 75!

Quick fuel makes some badass stuff. I had their parts all over the Holley on my big block.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Ramrod

so ive been out of the nova loop for a while but I guess yesterday they rejetted the primaries of the carb for like the 5th time so now its 6 steps up from what was originally in it and the changed the timing advance springs in the distributer to a lighter one an I guess the car is running perfect now so they threw on some old tires in the back today and did a huge huge huge burnout and then sent the pics into carcraft magazine so look for it in there because I dont have any

Yota87Truck

Better pics of your yota, like on the trail.

Ramrod

I guess you havent read any of the thread and noticed that it is still completely stock.  I did get my new oil pan, pickup, springs cleaned up, and some other :pokinit: I cant remember but its coming along slowly.  today is the 8 week mark of when I ordered my diamond axle which they said would be the very latest so thats kinda bull crap.  my boss is gonna be gone from february 8-18 so im hoping that is when I will do the swap if I have everything to do it and a place to do it at

You can still lift a wheel like that at the end of Wrecking Ball, just did it last weekend and we were getting the front wheel up like still. Now the water fall is pretty chewed up, big ass hole dug in on the left side.
