havik

if you do dusy let me know. i want to see this thing in action. that front end looks like it could just drive through rocks or smash big rocks to little rocks. find a fork lift or loading ramp i want to see some flexy shots.
got another 85 runner. build coming soon!!

Ramrod

that flex shot is all i'll be able to get untill I do some serious cutting in the back because the tires looked like they were about to rip off the bedsides whole

Can you email me or post up the photo walk through? I will post my email up if you want to email it, I cant access my PM box for whatever reason...
Thanks

Ramrod

yeah 14" front and rear, the rears might be a little long but I dont think my rear suspension is really long for this world anyways. so an update on the rig is that its doing great, ive put about 130 miles on it and it drives great even with the 40s and 4.10 gears.  The power steering pump whines like hell but seems to be getting quiter but it really needs another resevoir.  Tomorrow im putting in my duals and regearing the rear third and welding it at the same time.  Im also going to have to re-do my entire exhaust to make room for my t-cases and driveshaft so taht should be fun. im gonna run 2.25" and my same hooker maximum flow muff from my 86 on it

Yota4life

Sweet, i hope you make the highlakes run i want to see this beast in person

my guess is goes like hell but takes a bit to get there?

OH, 3RZ...I forgot. :beerwhack:

Ramrod

no actually its pretty much slow as hell but it keeps up with traffic fine.  A was passing everyone on 101 up a hill today in third.  Also today I got my duals in and with the stock transmission mount they only hang down about an inch below the frame so tomorrow im gonna make my new one and get them up flat.  I also welded up the rear third and took it to get the gears put in.  Lots to do tomorrow but its all fun stuff so it doesnt matter

Ramrod

update:  got my t-cases in and rear third setup and welded and then took it on a long ass drive and wheeled it for a day with no breakage.  Im really happy about the driveline angles and clearance under the clocked dual ultimates-

first impressions are I really need to do some trimming before wheeling again and next time I need to air down way more and build tow points all around and bumpers but it did well on the freeway and got way better mileage on the freeway then my 86.  Now its just time to do the odds and ends and ill be really ready

Rainer

What size tires? And on the other trucks. Thanks. DUAL ULTIMATES, oh snap. Wish i could get them.
