Talk to CronusTRD(Mike) he got hosed by Diamond and they took forever to get him his axle. This seems to becoming a issue with Front Range/Diamond Axle.

KYOTA FOREVER

Ramrod

ok so i was fully planning on starting my sas next thursday and just rushed home from work to meet my new front axle, got it all unwrapped, marveled in its beauty, blah blah but then noticed something funny.           THEY SENT ME A DRIVERS DROP DIFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMMit this pisses me off.  But I called them immediatly and a new on will be on the way as soon as possible and SHOULD be here next week but im not going to count on that.  So should I get a SAS Hanger kit and frame brace kit for free now? this has got to be the gayest thing ever to happen to me

olivedrab85

Thats weak It's been so long! What was the excuse for the drivers drop?

Ramrod

he said that there just so busy and he just wasnt paying attention and saw that it said tacoma so he figured it was drivers drop just like any other tacoma but hopefully he makes up for it because this is just gay.

alwayzbroken

I'm sorry to hear that. I can imagine how excited you were for your parts. I was pretty anxious to see what it looked like also. Make sure Brian knows you are not happy if you haven't yet. Don't just accept that BS.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Ramrod

he knows I want my :pokinit: soon and hopefully he can deliver the goods like he should.  Seriously though ive had no drive to get this project going till yesterday but all thats killed now.

KYOTA

sucks man. anybody get a height measurement on mounted 39.5's yet

Hyena

mine measured right at 37 inches.  but they are a tad bit worn and at about 8psi.  my 37's measured 35 when i took trhem off and they were at 8 psi with about 80% tread at least.

Ramrod

yeah im gonna try and score all kinds of free/ cheap :pokinit: out of this deal by the time its over

alwayzbroken

How about some free axle upgrades? Have them add the knuckle ball gussets and weld the perches on etc. for you. That is BS that you waited so long then they hosed you bigtime  :shake:

Is there any way to cut the welds and remove the bells from a Toyota axle and attach them to something like a Spider9

Ramrod

brian called today at about noon and let me know he stayed and worked late last night and early this morning and my new housing is already done and on the way.  Im gonna call him right now and see what I can get out of him even though im pretty stoked with that

olivedrab85

Thats cool, goes to show you how long it really takes for him to build a diamond.

YODAWILL

Pat you better give him the old RAMROD that"s bull :pokinit: It's been like over 9weeks for him to give you the wrong one and know he makes you one overnight.

Ramrod

well he makes them as they are ordered and wont start putting one together till the previous one is completely finished so since there were tons of people ahead of me I just had to wait but since mine was no longer checked off he couldnt do anything else till it was done so he just busted ass and got it done.  I talked to him for quite a while on the phone and he was super chill and apolagetic, needless to say I will definitly buy from them again at this point because they have great products and customer service

Yota4life

Thats good at leased he busted it out for you. Did you end up getting any free stuff out of it?

cool thanks Brad. Just measured my SX's and @ about 15lbs they are 35.5" WEAK SAUCE!!  and they only have 4-5 runs on them :shake:  shorty fourty's are now on my list

Loki

alright i see CA tags and i know Locktup is close, but where do you guys wheel this, and any update on the Diamond Axle? I can't wait to see this thing. BTW quick question...with a new Diamond axle not at stock front width, will Bobby Long cut you out a custom 30 spline to your specific length?

I talked to Terra last week and forgot to ask her if they did custom length inner axles???

locktup is pretty close.  we mostly wheel Rubicon, Fourdyce, Moonrocks.  those are within a couple hours of Roseville.  Bobby will cut what ever length axle you want.

Ramrod

actually bobby doesnt build the inners for the diamond axles anymore it is purely done by front range offroad and they are really nice pieces.  Yeah I mostly wheel at the rubicon and fourdyce and a couple other places but this year I plan on hitting: hammers, hollister, dusy, barret creek, highlakes, moab?, and I think next year im gonna try to get in on the ultimate adventure.

Besides that I just got back from a nice relaxing weekend in monterey with my girlfriend I just got back with so as soon as I get this axle over here im gonna get back too work and crank this thing out

Loki

nice ramrod...thanks for the info. Hyena...me and a couple of guys are about an hour from Roseville (driving with our yoats...i can make it there in 35 minutes in my Sierra) I wouldn't mind wheeling with all you hardcore guys. I'll have to let you guys know when my rigs worth of the hammers.

ramrod...can't wait to see this Diamond under your truck.

Ramrod

so the new diamond is here along with the new flip kit, tierod, draglink i ordered from them.  I'll hopefully start asembling it tomorrow.  Does anyone know if it would be alright to weld on the knuckle gussets after I put the knuckles and felts on?  The ones I have also incorporate the shock mount so I dont want to put it on till I get the shocks mocked up also
