Why are you not running used vegi oil  :headscratch:

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

82rustbeast

because I dont have the money for a kit, and I live in a small town. As much fuel as I use, the veggi oil would be gone pretty quick

bigarms23

its 3.30 for unleaded and its probably going to go up as usual

Kit?  Talk to whitetrash about just pooring it in after being properly filtered.  I think his dad runs it 50/50 until it gets down to about 40 degrees with no issues.

hmm. thats pretty cool. Except thatd most likely be a late spring summer blend huh? last few days here has been kinda cold

But yeah theres kits to run straight veggie oil for about 2K.

Kinda spendy

kneedownnate

Only tools buy expensive kits, if you're really interested you can do a little research and find what little you need to run vegi for cheap.

Noticed another 5 cent jump again today.

Moreover, speculation fuels oil prices.  Possible turmoil somewhere in the world?  Better drive up oil prices!  A kitten fell in a well?  Better drive up oil prices!  Sadly, this goes far beyond the simple supply and demand theories.

Best theory yet!  :rofl2:

you know honda has created a car that runs on hydrogen... one of the most abundant sources we have... why are we not capitalizing on this yet?

i can't recall exactly what the car's called... i wanna say the FCX?   Top Gear did a great episode spot lighting it.

Nail on the head. There has been no recent shortfall, and Saudi Arabia has pledged to make up for Libya's 2% global contribution as needed.

I believe infrastructure (distribution) is a primary reason, as well as lack of hydrogen production facilities on a massive scale. Hydrogen may well be our best long-term energy solution, but it will probably be a very long time coming.

Honda FCX Clarity.  :yesnod:  Many municipal buses use hydrogen also.
