Well well, looks like I can get gas for less than $3 if I felt like driving out to airport road!  http://www.californiagasprices.com/Redding/index.aspx

$3.15 and dropping. Yeah I heard that too, and they are getting Mexico, and most of the other oil producers to cut output too.

Well, as much as we like the price going down at the pump, it's just simple economics.  They know that we need it, and are willing to beg, borrow, and steal the get it.  But the oil/gas usage is actually down, and continues to go down.  Which is a good thing, something that we should have been doing long time ago.  We got blind and caught up in the who's got the bigger and badder toy, and the I must own the bigger SUV than my neighbors, just to go to the grocery store!!  We live in excess, and it's finally caught up to us, and we are paying for it!

I just don't understand why western washington would have such lower prices than here.  You are $.30-.60 cheaper than any place here.

well is there proof that there cutting back 2 drive prices up or are they just doing it because they have surplus and are saving reserves for later use.  it.s not there fault our gov has it's head stuck up it's :moon:  and stuck there nose in the middle east foreign policies  ( the reason why we have terisum )  instead of domestic productions.

We're still getting hosed here.  It hasn't dropped below the $3.20's.

BTW oil closed at 64.15 today.  Who knows when it will stop dropping.  I love it but I know it won't last.  I watched an interview and an analyst said that he believes it will drop to $50 possibly lower before it settles.  At the rate its going it won't take long to get there.

Rocksurfer

$3.14 yesterday (no marlincrawler yesterday)

$3.09 today

$2.35 today so another $0.17 drop since last night.  The other stations are lagging way behind, but I can't complain about only having one station with quality fuel.

On the news a couple days ago I heard oil was half the price per barrel as it was in july.  Are we paying half per gallon that we were in july?  Disassemble opec and start over from scratch

Yeah, but...  there are other costs involved than just the raw product -- such as transportation, refining, taxes.

Here's one simplified breakdown...  a bit out of date but it gets the point across.

I was waiting for someone to mention that, but transportation costs should be dropping along with the lower fuel costs too  :gap:
