I have noticed a slow, steady drop in gas prices here recently.  I think the station I usually fill the bike at was up to $4.50-4.60, but luckily dropped to $4.40 by the time the bike needed a top-off!  I think I'm going hiking tomorrow, which could suck cause the truck's almost completely dry again  :shake:

i think with this new hurricane thats supposed to hit texas or whatever state on the gulf coast is going to be an excuse for gas prices to go even higher again with some excuse that a refinery somewhere was damaged.  just a thought.  hopefully i'm wrong

Hopefully, but most likely you hit the nail on the head.  Any excuse they can come up with  :shake:

They don't have some of the highest state fuel taxes in the nation, they probably don't pay sales tax on fuel purchases, they probably don't have 20 different blends of gas for different areas and seasons, the don't have the crappiest state government in the nation, etc.

Just think of cheaper gas as another bonus for not living in California.

Yeah, one of the big negatives of living here. I still like where I live though, in the sticks

I know Norcal is gorgeous, in photos. Maybe someday Northern California will actually be able to split for the southern part of the state.

I wish this would happen.  N. Cal and Puerto Rico - would make for a nice 52 states.(because of constitutional amendments, Congress is loathe to have odd numbers of states, and D.C. isn't nearly large enough to qualify as its own state)

That's a great idea!  Could maybe add some of southern Oregon, maybe even a bit of western Nevada...

Have to come up with a good name for the new state, though.  Lessee.....  how about Jefferson?

Hell, DC barely qualifies as civilization.

Yeah, we really should break it apart. N Cali is a lot different than S Cali in about all ways imaginable.

Paid 4.33 today....better than my last fill up
