I hear you there! We hope to make some money off of this one so in 2-5 years we can expand a little!
PZ

Yup, we did the same.  We bought a brand new house, lived in it for 2.5 years, sold it for 20K more and built a bigger house (3 car garage :)) with a full unfinished basement mancave.

Got the duals in, borrowed a friends tube bender and made a corssmember that I really like.  Drove it ~100 miles and the v-6 adapter start spewing 80-90W at about a quart an hour.  I got a little carried away with lifting the back of the drive train when I made the crossmember so now its got a vibe from the drive line angles being wrong.  I need to make a new carrier bearing mount to correct it (which is good because I am ALWAYS smacking that thing!).

HOWEVER!
I JUST got married a week ago, and had no time to fix any of these issuses.  I also sold my DD and am trying to drive my wifes 88 4runner, but its got problems.  (http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=60503.). I also bought a house as I said, and am still working my tail off on it.  ALSO! my wifes cars clutch is ALMOST shot, and the tranny breather took a dump so its building up pressure and squirting oil out the seals, and get this, the breather is a press in deal, I can't just take screw it out and screw in a new one.

After the runner is ready for DD, and the car has a new clutch, my truck will get some love. The tags are 3 months overdue, and there is a new $25 per month fine if you let it expire in CO.  So I am not looking froward to that.

I will try to get some pics of the Corssmember and the cases.

I have not posted for a while, so I figured I would post a small update!

First, the 4runner is fixed. still just a little hooptie in the back, but she drives great!

Second, the car is ALMOST done, been rocking it that last week (had to take the engine out to get the tranny off), just needs gear oil and some half shaft and she is good to go!

Third, I ordered some rims from SUMMIT on Thursday!  I got some 15x8 with 2in backspacing!  PN USW-845860L-SPEC.  They said the only way they can get them is unfinished, so I will probably just spray bomb them!  NO MORE LEAKY BEAD-LOCKS!

When I get the car done, I will be starting on the truck. Tackling the leak first, than the carrier bearing mount.  I also have a bad knuckle seal (gear oil leaking  out of the hubs!) that I need to address!

I can't believe that I went ALL summer only wheeling the thing ONCE!

I am home sick, so I figured I would post some pics of my last wheeling adventure!

This is Chinaman's Gulch, near Buenovista CO.

Yeah, wish I could have made it!  Next summer I am not doing anything to my truck, besides wheeling the pee out of it!!!  Including the hte CO run!

And this should help make sure my pesky axle seals don't leak anymore!!!

Thats the SST to measure the shims that you need on your knuckle! I am super excited to get rid of my leaky ass knuckles!!!

It was $129.75 shipped! kinda steep for a tool that I should only have to use once. But I know about 4 people that have a solid axle yota that could use it.  Maybe I can make some money with it once I get good at using it.  From what I have read it makes things MUCH MUCH easier and they don't leek!

So, decided I WAS NOT going to wrestle the tires from the bead locks again! Took them to wal-mart where dude broke two of his machines trying to dis-mount them. (Keep in mind I took off the lock ring, so he only had one bead to remove).  They called me and were very nice when telling me that my rims broke their machines, they happily un-seated the bead on the other rims and said that if I could get the tires off the rims they would be more than happy to mount the tires to my new rims.

So off to my buddys house I go pry bars in hand remembering that with two guys and some dish soap the tires were not such a big deal to mount, so I will just have to wing it!

2 hours latter I have 1 torn cord, and all 4 rims and tires are still together!

I took them to 4wheel parts today, hoping to get them dismounted, but they were not able to get them done today (they had a little trouble at first so they put them in the office where it's warmer, and they think that will help).  I am down one baja claw! thats a $250 hit I didn't wanna take!  I hope they can get the tires dismounted tomorrow, or I will have to take the ol' plasma cutter and carefully cut the rims out of the tires.

Geez!  That sucks!  The rims look good, though,

Phazertwo

FWP just called. $60 to dismount! ouch!  I thought I was going the cheap route by making my own beadlocks!

So $56 later and they are dismounted. A short trip to wally world and they are mounted to the new rims! No pics (one of my garage lights died while I was mounting them :(.

AND THE BEST PART, I didn't totally mess up that bead, it is holding air now, and I bet it continues to do so!

Why so much? It was $3~$4 a tire to mount / dismount at Wally world when I've used them

Phazertwo

it was $40 at wally world.  However it broke their tire machine trying to get the tire off of the bead lock! And 4wheel parts is a raping everytime you walk in the place. But it all got done!

Oh yeah, I was leaving work today, and bang... bang... bang... bang... Something died in the rear diff on my DD 4runner... There was no loud BANG, so I am guesing the lock-rite is dead! Hopefully thats the case and the gears aren't bad and I can just slap my extra ARB in it like I planned to do in a few months anyway. We shall see, tow is on the way now. Guess the truck can wait a little longer...

Your truck looks dope thanks for replying on my vibration problem.  I'm going to try to drop the cross member down a little to see if that helps.

So got the runner re-geared.

Also got these bad boys to go on it! 33X12.5x15

The brake master cylinder took a dump at the same time. Upgraded to a 1in master cylinder, now shes ready for some snow! AND MAYBE I CAN WORK ON MY JUNK!

I actually worked on my truck!

I also got the cases out, to fix my nasty leak.

Inch worm has changed the design of there V-6 adapter since I bought it a few years back.  I called them and they upgraded mine for $45. Here is the adapter, with its new insert.

Pic is kinda confusing, but it will make more sense when I take a pic of it installed!

Also, here is my cross member that I bent up real quick. If you look hard at the t-cases you can see the tube it mounts to on the back.

Hopefully I can get some of this slammed back together tomorrow, and start work on my front axle, and my new carrier bearing mount!
