sweet find! So are you done with the 85 for now? who makes that body lift?

Sorry didn't catch your post.  I am not sure of the manufacturer but sky sells it.  I didn't like it much, tho I have used it twice now.  The bolts were not the right length, and they were not metric (I prefer to keep it metric).  Pucks are holding up well tho!

All-POO: Knuckle rebuild kit, and a RH and LH fj-80 TRE for back up

Inch worm: V6-4 banger t-case (23 spline) and two quad drilled flanges for the t-case outputs.

Phazertwo

Go my parts friday  :yesnod:

All of this plus shock hoops!

Ahh, and something else I picked up off of e-bay...

Hoping this will help put the extra 3.0 and harness that I have laying around in my 79 beater truck..... (AFTER MY TRUCK GETS A SA!!!!)

Anyway. I don't drive the truck much, I have a 89 civic that is my daily driver.  So the last three times I have tried to start my truck the battery has been dead.  I am pretty sure that its not the batt, its a red top that is not that old, so I think that i have a power drain somwhere.  Any ideas on how to look for one.  I have a nice fluke meter, just not sure how check to see if I have a leek or if I have a bad batt.  Also, if I have a leek, how would I go about tracing it???

Found my problem today!  I killed my red top. Apparently they don't like just sitting...  But I have a yellow top to put it to take care of that!

Sweetness!

I see gear installations in your future.  Are you gonna go ARB's when you install?  Or is that still a ways down the road?

ARB's will be in the future, however not right now.  I will be using a spare v-6 carrier in my HP housing.

:werd:  that makes me laugh every time i see it!  the 79 build up will be pretty cool, so everyone should stay tuned for that, it will be different!  ok back to the build up at hand!!  more pics man!!  :moon:

KDC

Wow, that is pretty  :bling:

Your truck is going to be sweet when it gets all these nice parts installed!

Phazertwo

In she goes!    :yesnod:

First things first!
*Fix the bed (I bought it bobbed and the bob job sucked! it needs reinforced, and re weleded!  :flamer:)
     *Tear apart the rear suspension.
*Measure and weld rear spring hanger (I am going to remove the gas tank to weld the passenger side)
     * Re-paint, and re-gear rear third, and re-paint rear axle.

I got this in the mail a while ago, just forgot to post about it.

It didn't say anything about it anywhere, but it looks clock-able...

All and all, I wish I had order from marlin.... The quality just isn't there. The whole part looks like it was only rough cut, and there were no slower clean up passes. So in other words, the machining is really rough. It was packed very well, and there was nothing in the box that could have boggered it like this, so I think Inchworm shipped me a part that should never have been shipped.    :maddest:

However, my buddie ordered the same one at the same time, and it has none of these problems AT ALL!!  So I guess Inchworm is a crap shoot?? ???

Oh well! LIVE AND LEARN!

I think now that I am going to call them.  I just have a overwhelming bad feeling that they will say either I am too late, or they won't replace it. Or it will simply cost me money. The defects should not affect its performance, so its not really a big deal. However I would like it to be pristine, so we will see what they say.  I will update when I find out more.

On to the build!

Got some serious work done on the bed (I hate sheet metal) and its way stronger, but I am still not done!

This is what it look like before!

And this is what it looked like when I was almost done last night.

When I got the bed, the small strip the goes from the lumpy part, to the flat part was not welded in yet, so I got that done.

Than I started, and pretty much finished the rear set up.

However, I still need to re-gear, and paint my third and the housing. they are pretty much ready for paint, just need a nice day when I have free time to bust out the sprayer.
