Right now the best option looks to be calling the funeral home tomorrow to see what they suggest would be the best way to donate.  208 views of this thread so far, hopefully plently of people will atleast do it on the downlow.

Does anybody have any idea how much the Marlin board has raised so far?  The goal is about $4000.

When I called Melinda I asked how much had been donated so far and she said $150.  I ended up giving more than I had planned because we need to support Glen and his family!

about how much money you spend on entertainment each week/weekend or latte/coffee each morning.  It is amazing how little we have to give up to come up with an extra $20.  How much money have you spent on your rigs in the last month?  Can you wait another couple of weeks to purchase that new toy?

I just spoke to her, she is very nice and it was very easy and professional paying with a credit card.  I'm with everybody else on this, it doesn't really matter how much you can pitch in, just try and do what you can.

Looks like you nudged some people into action, BD. Between the time you talked to her, and the time I called. With the paypal donations I got and added to the pot they had collected $1055.00.
There's still a ways to go, but that is a good chunka change, and I could still get more paypal payments over night. I wanted to be sure to call before they closed today.
Come on people, keep up the good work. $10's and $20's really add up over a bunch of people.
And for those that have donated thank you very much for you extreme generosity.

  every little bit counts. Most that I recieved were $10-20 or so with a $50er (from one member I know is currently between jobs) and a couple more generous still. It all adds up.

I cant afford it right now, been laid off for the last month and I even pm'd Glen telling him this and that I wish I could help. This is what I'm going to do, I have a couple hundred dollars worth of parts for sale right now and as soon as they sell I will donate ALL of it to Glen. It may not make it in time for the funeral but will go anyway to help recoup some of the expenses. Still wish there was more I could do Glen. Like I said in my pm, I lost my pa when I was 18 and 20 years later there probably isnt a day that I dont think about him. Its hard but that is just a symbol of how much you love that person.

  I am in about the same boat, we'll check the funds this friday and send what I can. I have Glens address from Xmas.

Glen, I am sooo sorry to hear of your loss, please know that our thoughts are with you. Angelo and I would like to contribute, so I will call the funeral home in the morning.
