I am planning to take it out again over the Veteran's Day weekend to the Hammers. :usa: I will probably run the rear axle as I have it to see what needs to be changed. You are right, I will probably end up going with the IFS, spacers and move everything back a few inches.  :hammerhead: ;)

At full stuff, on the rear bumpstop (but not compressed), the tire was touching the frame. It was also about 1/4" from the front of the fenderwell. The way the bumpstops are set up, I can adjust them fairly easily. I figured I would increase the bumpstop and run some of the somewhat easier trails (Aftershock, Claw, Lower Big Johnson). I've got to take it easy anyway, I still need that hydro assist.  :driving:
The axle does need to move back. :flamer:

I drove the Runner today for the first time with the new seats. All I can say is my a%&  is now much more comfortable.  :gap: $340 + shipping for the pair of full suspension, reclining seats with 5 point seat belt capability. :yesnod: I missed the special at the Expo a few weeks ago for $150 each. :hammer:

Next up is the VH wrap, recover the rear bench and some odds and ends before the Veteran's day trip. :)

I ordered them from their site. The  :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: in my prior post was due to the fact that not only did I pay $40 more for the seats, but I also would have saved on the shipping if I had bought them at the Expo. :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

Thanks Peps.  :) Do you by chance have any recommendations for an upholstery shop in the area?  :dunno: I used a shop in Beaumont/Banning area a couple of years ago for a boat seat but that is about it. :headscratch:

I had a set of Corbeau seats in my 23 window VW mirco bus years ago. :driving: I wasn't impressed. I was going to buy a set of PRPs, but their reclining model was big $.  :( Zukizzy told me about the Hunsakers from his visit and comp at the Expo so I folowed his advise.  :)  I just wish I could have scored a better deal.  ;)

On another note, I took the Runner out tonight to follow the kids around for Halloween. One of Redlands PD's finest drove past me and gave the Runner a long look, but didn't bother to stop me. :ha_ha: I was fun using the  :turtle: crawler gears around my residential neighborhood.

I took the back seat into a old school upholstery shop in San Bernardino. :bayer: They do a lot of work on lowriders and hot rods. :bling: It took quite a bit of time to explain that I wanted a loop on the top of the bench for each of the three seating positions so I can put a 4 point harness for each of the kids. :blah: Luckily they have a quick turnaround time so it should be ready tomorrow.

I also ordered the harnesses (3 for now) which should be in next week. :)

The VH wrap job is scheduled for 11-6. :suprised: It looks like I should have it ready for the Hammer trip. :king:

VH wrap job?

If you look a couple of pages back I decided on using a "vehicle wrap" instead of traditional paint for a finish. My friend used a shop that does some wild work. I am going to "borrow" the Van Halen guitar theme for the wrap job.  If everything goes according to plan, I should have pictures of it completed next week. :crossed:

Did you go to Gabes? I thought they were in Bloomington.

Can't wait to see the wrap. I will provide the lit cig in the strings if you want.

I asked around about Gabe's. :psss: I heard that after they did all of the work on American Hot Rod for Boyd Codington their prices and wait time went through the roof. I called a friend who is in a local hot rod club and he suggested Evans, right in the "hood" section of S.B. on Baseline. I put the seat in tonight and it looks good. :yesnod: Once we fame up a mini "canback" frame, I will probably use them again for the top. 8)

BTW: I was shocked to learn the wife is joining us on the Hammers trip. :yikes: I had to explain to her their were no shopping opportunities on the trip.  :ha_ha: We are planning to make the trek from Means to Cougar Buttes on Saturday morning to watch Team Izzy. :driving:

Way cool I do not know Evans but the sound like they did good.

Even cooler about Stacey coming. You know this is how it starts, don't let her drive or you will be building another one. Leave the CC @ home there is a t-shirt vendor at the event She may get a bit of shopping done too.

Wayne

Shoyrtt

I'll try not to bring the CC, but she will end up going through withdrawals. :drooling: The scary part will be driving down the 10 past Cabazon. The shopping radar will be going crazy.

Is he looking for a 1st gen?  :dunno: I really like my rig, but the 3rd gens (96+) are really coming down in price. I saw one recently with a 4cyl and 5 speed (perfect for for the swap) for 3k. ;)

The shadows are pretty bad in this pic, but here is the back seat. :)
