I would SAS the 86-89 rig over an 85. You get the wider rear axle and the better steering box. Plus most people have unrealistic beliefs on the true value of the 84 and 85s. You can pick up the 86-89 cheap. :twocents:

For the record, the picture above is not my setup. ;)  I do, however, have the hi-lift rubber retainer. I believe you can get them basically anywhere hi-lifts are sold. I bought mine at 4West in Colton. :)

thats a good point, i like projects, we are workin on 3 3rd gen pickups right now and possibly an 88. all sas projects.
