Re: 84 reg cab in CO 2-18 frame rust from Hades
« Reply #180 on: Feb 19, 2010, 08:40:58 PM »
I started on the hydro tonight; got everything undone except the box since it's WELDED TO THE FRAME!!!!!  :punish: What else... re-did the negative terminal end and ran a second ground to the engine, cleaned off the sliders (they were oily...), drank a beer or five and stared  at the IFS box in disbelief. Another thing I noticed was the bumper bracket on top of the frame is hitting the steering box; I'll notch/cut/trim it when the box is out.

Oh, and get this: even though the box is welded to the frame it still had 3 bolts on it; a 17mm, a 15mm and a 9/16" nut and bolt. The 17mm goes into the frame but is stripped out... super awesome fun time action time is here!  :shake: And the torque bar was chopped off but the frame mount is still there. Dang it, if you get rid of something get rid of ALL OF IT!!!!

Crap!
