It rubs on the case?
How would they expect it to change just by taking it apart and putting it back together? Weird.
For the love of all things high pressure direct injection. Have you got that gear sorted yet? No excuses now that the turtcel is gone.
I’ll try to find the alternator rebuild parts sight I found a while back. I was looking at swapping my alternator out for a hiace since the vans came with 110amp units.
This engine is confusing me at the moment. I see the injection pump has a gear but also a bearing. Then it has a toothed pulley on the outside of the case. What are the purposes of the pulley and gear together? Also in the pictures on previous page, I see the balance shafts and gears that drive them. It being and ohc engine does the toothed pulley drive the cam shaft?
OP...Try also to cross reference the Toyota OEM number with the Denso one, i use their website for Europe or Aussie land. I found more options online for the alternator using the Denso part number....hope that helpsRB
So if the timing belt takes a turd you ruin the pistons/valves, possibly head and block
Geez, finding a different alternator for the 1kz is difficult. The years for the 1KZ in a Hiace are few, and the part number is hard to find a cross reference for also. I'll keep looking, but I wonder if it just has a different pulley than the 1KD model?EDIT.... Stupid side note, the Ambulance Hiace (3rd Gen) was available with the 1UZ.
Doing a little research, it looks like the hi end G spec HiAce had a 110amp alternator with an option for a 120 amp alternator. These VINs:KZH110G-GPDTKZH116G-GHPDTKZH120G-HHPETKZH120G-HHPNTKZH132V-EFPDTKZH138V-EFPDT110 amp alternator part #27060-67050 I cant find a part number for the 120 amp model.
