So I measured for the 3rd time yesterday. This time with my new rear shaft actually on the vehicle rather than doing the broomstick method. My number for the amount of rotation needed is 9.5* from where it stands now. Taking into account my current 2* shim that puts me at a final total of 11.5*. This is far too large of a shim to run in my opinion.
Agree on the angle being too high, but the angle of the installed driveshaft will be higher than a measurement between the flanges because the u-joint at the differential will shift the point of angle over several inches.
It was only a difference of a degree so it really isn't going to effect much. Bottom line is that I need to have the pinion rotated rather than shim.

hey Andrew, I just ordered and received the same Nippon radiator that you got. looks identical only problem is that its advertised as a dual core 2 row and looking inside it only has a single core. have you looked inside yours to verify? It appears this radiator is the same one low range was selling for $79 last year.
