So I measured for the 3rd time yesterday. This time with my new rear shaft actually on the vehicle rather than doing the broomstick method. My number for the amount of rotation needed is 9.5* from where it stands now. Taking into account my current 2* shim that puts me at a final total of 11.5*. Agree on the angle being too high, but the angle of the installed driveshaft will be higher than a measurement between the flanges because the u-joint at the differential will shift the point of angle over several inches.

It was only a difference of a degree so it really isn't going to effect much. Bottom line is that I need to have the pinion rotated rather than shim.

Nate came over and we worked on my shifters today.

His mom sewed up his triple stick shifter boot for him. Luckily he kept the pattern so all that had to be done was transfer it to the vinyl I had bought at Joann Fabrics.

We also did some customizing and modifying of my shifters so that they no longer would interfere with the trans shifter.

Turned out great! All that I'm missing now is my front shaft and a pinion rotation and I'm in business ready to put my duals to work!

Yes, me and zippo will be tackling it this weekend. Going to try and solve my up travel as well.

So yesterday I made the long trip over to port orchard to meet up with zippo at his father in laws place to fix some issues caused by my going to dual cases. The first of which was my pinion angle. So we dropped my rear axle and with the combination of the plasma cutter and the 2 post lift made quick work of getting it sorted.

Also put in my new bash plate from Ruff Stuff at the same time. Lovingly deemed "the maxi pad" by zippo.

This baby should keep the thin portion of my housing well protected with its 3/8 thickness and super absorbent properties. All while keeping a smile on a gal's face knowing that she doesn't have to worry about the feminine problem for the entire day

We also came up with a pretty comical fix to the huge holes in my floor. Introducing the boot patch.

Its actually working really well to keep the heat and noise out of the cabin. Should keep the water out too

Its all hidden by my center console and bezel as well so no one is the wiser except you

My High Angle drive shaft came in the mail on Friday. Its a beautiful drive line with the exception of the strange color choice (was hoping for black) but eh no biggie it will be dirty in no time and then won't matter. I am interested to see how my new exhaust piping is going to come into play when I go to flex my front suspension. Hoping the two don't come into contact. I'm going to go to my local 4 wheel parts and use their flex ramp to check and see.

I ordered two maxi pads. They work on both small 8" and large 9.5" units. The wings really do a good job keeping them positioned and keep you from leaking after a long day of wheeling in the rocks.

LOL yeah we went to Lowes to attempt to get just a piece of rubber. This is what we had to settle for. Cost me almost $30.

nice, thats why i always go High angle for my driveline needs....because i want that baller paint they use lol

now that u have duals i want to see some double low full throttle assaults.

Well the big California trip is next week. Getting some last minute items checked off. I got myself a GoPro with two 64gb cards to go along with my phone to capture all the fun. Also picked up a propane campfire and a new synthetic winch line with a fancy Marlin Hawse fairlead. I also put in some anchor points so that I can strap down all my and Drew's gear so it doesn't go flying around while wheeling .

I then went ahead and did a mock pack of the truck to see how it was all going to fit. Plenty of room

So stoked for this trip, and to meet a lot of you in person finally.
