so, ive been thinking of welding tabs that are threaded, so that I can attatched plate(s) with multiple configurations. the first will be something that holds spare tire. it will have spare spindle, ifs hub(loaded w/bearings), lockout hub. basically from the spindle out for attaching spare tire to. will give me 1 side spare for trail fix

So my starter has been getting progressively worse. After pricing a starter, I decided to rebuild. Found parts on Amazon, but they had a wide variety fitment. So, I found a place in MO, called nations starter and alternator. They where helpful in getting me the correct parts. Cost was 39.95 delivered. Took a few pics on how easy this was

It was a click, then after a few attempts, it would fire.

Ahh, and rebuild is the trick to fixing it? Mine is doing the same thing. Granted it's a 22re but similar issue.

It was cheaper then buying new or remain. I may have a Toyota starter for 22re. I look, and get back to ya

I just put the plunger in my drill press and resurfaced the copper ring.

The problem is the contacts.     They don't wear even and the plunger doesn't make good contact.

Make sure you lube the plunger..................

I was building my bumper at a friends house and some Hispanic workers were pouring concrete there. They cooked lunch over an open fire with one of these. They invited me to have lunch with them. They put a bunch of oil in the wok and fried chicken and tortillas on it. It was the best tacos I have ever had. Lookin forward to see what you make on it
