so my only issue is no incoming power from 40 amp fuse, I'm thinking since there is nothing on fused side of 80 amp, just pigtail from fused 80 amp to power in at 40 amp. ive been using jumper this whole time trying to diagnose. a big THANKS BRO to bestgen4runner, helipilot, hogcanyonhopper, sqwadoosh, and megaphoneman for any input, help, or just plain moral support

There should be a heavy gauge white wire coming off the 80A feeding the 40A

So what was the issue?

no power at 40 amp fuse in engine bay, and 7.5 ignition fuse. since I just learned that there is a piece of exposed metal on front of fuse, while I was patiently waiting(not) for bestgen4runner to give me my next thing to check, I started testing all fuses, before I just looked at them, it looked good but apparently wasn't good, after I found fuse, I put it all back together and she fired.

there is not, the feed wire going into 40 amp is in original loom, I peeled back original tape a little to check for broken wire, but didn't find any, so do you think I should cut this white wire and attach to empty fused 80 amp circuit, or just tap into wire, I'm just afraid ill lose something else, and there not a lot of room to work right there

First pic is of empty side of 80 amp, second pic is white wire coming from loom to feed side of 40 amp

I haven't got the slightest clue, ive searched around looking for said missing wire, cant find anything. I'm pretty meticulious about setting parts in piles for each item. all engine stuff in 1 pile, all bellhousing and tranny stuff in another, and so on and so on. I don't know, I'm just dying to go drive it, but ill wait for you to look, thanks again

What is current set up for alternator?
Your jumper is currently running from what to what?
What happens when jumper is removed?

Stock alternator on 3rz.  high output soon, I'm touching positive on battery to spade going out of of 40 amp . Nothing happens with key off. Turn key to run. Everything on dash comes on . When I remove jumper , nothing lights up on dash, key doesn't do anything

You don't have a 3rz swap though.... :headscratch:

On the last picture ? You do have those two connectors plugged into the top next to fuses correct?

Hey Dave I'll be down in your area tomorrow, I'll come by and see if I can do anything , when I did my swap I left for the most part my factory 22re fuse box alone besides extending the main power wire but where my no start problem was coming from was my ignition wire / starter relay , my truck had a push button start and the 3rz swap I did did not like that and I had to wire it back to the factory ignition source

Generally speaking they are the same when you use the factory 22re stuff , I'm not sure if Dave put the 3rz fuse box in but I don't think he did

If it is the same then how could the problem be there? As he had a good running truck before the swap?

That is a question I also have asked?
