So this was a fun little project. The 3.4 airflow meter end is odly shapped and an odder size. This made it hard to find a really good solution. So I made an adapter out of silicone rubber. Takes it to 3" which will give me an unlimited filter solutions.

Why is this thing so weirdly shapped.

I made a mold out of some 3" ABS

Mix up the silicon

Pour it in, wait 4 hours.

Unmolded

Turned out awesome!

I think it turned out great!
If you see it, its for sale.

Got some work done on my rear hubs!

These hubs look awesome! But empty pin holes make me sad.

9/32 transfer punch worked great. Needed a little polishing, but worked great!

Drilled it with a letter I drill bit.

The pins aren't the best press fit, but still needed to be put in with a hammer.

If you see it, its for sale.

zippo

DIAMOND!!!!!! Looks awesome as always. This 9.5" pumpkin is HUGE!

If you see it, its for sale.

I have no idea. Not much more then a factory truck. The Diamond housing only weights 75 lbs.

Filter upgrade is done! Over doubled my filter surface area. Truck really seems to like it!

Put the seals in, diff studs and bolted the spindels on. Still waiting on axle parts and diff parts.

If you see it, its for sale.

Dingman.

Got some work done on the rear bumper. Every time I slam down on it, it rotates up and hit/cracks my tail lens. I boxed the rear frame with some 2x4x.25 box. Then cut the bumper mounts off and welded them to some 1/2 plate, which is now bolted onto the rear with 10 1/2 grade 8 bolts. I need to add some more braces, but turned out good I think.

Box welded into frame.

Bumper out, welded the 1/2 plate on.

Tripple pass. Welding 5/8 to 1/2

Drilling 45 lbs in a press by yourself sucks. One of the center bolts drifted a little. Looks good through. I am going to add some extra material before I take it offroad.

This also makes it easier to take the bumper on and off.

If you see it, its for sale.

he likes to build!  :yesnod:
time for his next project!

to anyone interested in Zippo's truck I can attest to the build quality. Having driven it both at Fordyce and for many miles on our road-trip down to Cali, the truck handles beautifully on the freeway with an excellent ride even when loaded down with 3 guys and their gear for a week. then when we went off-road it went just about everywhere we pointed it. I tried to convince him to keep it. but he needs something else to build now that this is done. His loss, Your gain.

I can also attest to witnessing the quality in the build and have driven it as well. Doesn't get much better.
