I should just cut some out of contact paper, then I could change it up every trip. Hahaha

Hell, if yer gonna do that, just make some out of magnetic material and you change them around all you want!  :gap:

So I decided to not rebuild the front axle till after Moonrocks due to time constraints and waiting of marlin to start selling their new axle gussets. But I have been driving it around town a bunch trying to get the new motor broken in. So far I really like the shock placement. They seem way stiffer. It could be due to lac of weight back there but who knows.

Awesome trip indeed! The rear shock placement was great, the rear seemed much more stable, esp hauling on the fire roads. I loved the propane. Never had any issues with it and I was able to try a lot of stuff I was never able to do. After wheeling quite a bit over 3 days and some good higher speed stuff, I still only ran off one tank. I need to get it refilled to see how much I actually used.

Finally got some time to work on it. Pulled the front end apart. Dropped the ram off at my buddies shop to be rebuilt.

Pressed the Trunnion eliminators into the six-shooters.

Drilled out the pitman for 5/8 bolts.

That's awesome. I'm thinking of doing some kind of cat back on mine. Not sure what yet. The drone I had from the straight pipe was too loud and annoying.

Anyways. Keep me posted on what the steering is like after you do the trunion bearing eliminator. I've heard some guys say their steering doesn't come back to center and others say no issues at all. I'm going to do it regardless. Tired of worrying about breaking them and having the needles bust a birf.

My buddy has run them in KOH and 2 other trips with no issues. Doesn't notice any difference over stock.

Well been working slow. When its 90 out everyday motivation goes down to a 7.

Picked up a brand new set of 44044s.

Pulled the axle to start hacking and welding.

Also called up Ruffstuff, got new perches for the rear, frenched hangers to move the axle back and recess them into the frame.

You going to redrill the center pin on the 4404s or leave them to move the axle forward?

We will see once everything gets in there. In other words, I don't know.
