The rebirth.

Finally found some motivation. Leaving next friday for back to back trips so got to get it finished.

Was kinda worried about my pitman arm hitting my tierod but once I flexed it, the axle moved back significantly.




The previous owner of the knuckles had welded on mis-alignment spacers so I cut them down a 1/4 inch.

Got it all buttoned up today just need to put in the ram once it shows up. Decided to hold off on chopping the rear suspension off till I get back from my next three trips. Too much other stuff to do, not enough time.


With the drag link hiem on the top of the pitman arm, the drag link was getting scary close to my oil pan and hard coolant line.




So I flipped it to the bottom side and it clears everything.

Looks good man. I like the heim setup, should be a lot stronger than the toy tie rod ends. What are you doing for the rear? Links?

Thanks, did the heims, six shooters with all arp,  trunnion elim, and 1.5 X .250 wall tierod and drag link. So it should hold up.

No links. Just moving the leaf hanger back and frenching it into the frame. Also rotating my pinion angle.

Got all the front dialed in today. Still waiting on the ram. Also painted the other side and got drunk.





Patched in the rest of the bed.

Fine. The bed side was way stronger than I thought. Just a few dents and lost the tail light.

No. It was a pretty controlled roll. As I was going over I had time to tell my buddy to move and turn off the ignition. Almost powered out of it in reverse but my rear diff hit that rock and stopped me dead.

Yea cage is clutch had a couple hard rolls with minimal damage to it.

Well competed in the CA Fireman's Olympics over the last two days and the rig did great. Until I smashed every body panel, snapped a rear output, twisted my driveshaft splines 90*, and blew up my CV joint.

But it was fun!

Was at hollister and they have a bunch of new pretty crazy stuff. I was bound up and trying to crawl it in low low, then POW!
