As of now, No. But if I build a tire carrier that hangs over the rear then yea. But will let you know in the next week.

Here is todays progress. Which was about an hour before the neighbor fed me too many beers.

Started adding the bobbed section to the front half.


So far nothing is lining up, but enough clamps works, hahaha

Nice build, I love watching the progression.  You'll love the propane.  I have a 261 RV cam from Engn Bldr in my 22r on pane and it works great, you can really lug it out if necessary.

Good to hear. I have been wheeling with the stock carb for waaaaay to long now and it seems like that is always my limiting factor. My motor should be done any day now. Having Yotaman from Santa Rosa build it for me, specifically to run on propane. Put a Pro Cylinder head on it from LC with a Mild stage 2 cam in it. So it should be pretty torquey.

Got the bed all tacked into place. Just need to trim it for the tanks and dovetail it now! This has been so time consuming! But is starting to come along.

Hahaha thanks! been a ton of work getting everything lined up. That bed was far from straight. Just hope it looks good when I am done. Picking up a couple sticks of DOM and my motor on wed!

Thanks. The wheel well almost looks too far back now. But I think I can over come that with the dovetail, weight in the bed, and how I mount the fender flairs back on.

Yea cant tell you how many hours has gone into lining all this up. Banging, cutting, bending, clamping, and it still ain't close to done! But its good to see progress. One of my buddies at work was a professional body guy and does awesome work, so I may have to have him give it a little love before it gets painted.

A mild dovetail, but left enough room to fit a full size spare. Also started sectioning the wheelwells to gain more bed room.

Still not happy with the way the wheel wells are lining up. Think I moved them a little to far back. I may be able to move the bed forward another half inch but then I will have to cut through the bottom rear corners. Which I like the look of. I also found a longbed for a 100 bucks so may start over. Who knows.

The thought has crossed my mind. Hahaha I would need to take an inch out of the front and add it to the back again. I can probably just cheat the fender flair forward to make it look better. We can have the five of us sit in the bed after a big tritip dinner, 60 beers, and some hot wings to see how it looks on saturday.

What about moving the rear axle back an inch via re-drilling the spring pearch. Plus a little extra wheel base might make it a little less likely to yard sale on driveline hill.

You could move the rear spring hangers back an inch or two. Probably a bit more work than drilling the perches though. Just a thought.

I really like the full bodied look over the old bed. Keep up the good work

I would think the least amount of work would be to open up the wheel well and playaround with the fender flare. Then if you still have alignment issues go the drilling and relocating route and hopefully you won't also need a driveline, if you have any money concerns at this point. 

But overall, it's looking good, Bro!

Thanks, We got the bed another inch forward and It helped a lot. So probably just doing to do what you said and see how it comes out.
