Alright some questions.

Who has used HIDs? do you go with 35 or 55 watt? Obviously one is brighter but also 2X the price. I really don't think I will 'out drive the light' being this is a trail only crawler.

Also propane guys. What cam are you running? looking into going with a mild stage 2 cam, with notched pistons and chromoly springs/retainers. Should be real torquey and not too much more $.

the HIDs on my dodge are 8k not sure on the wattage, but they are very bright and were only 60 bucks for the kit

everyone i know that has propane has stock internals

Cool, where did you get them from? Looked at Kragens 7 in but they will barely fit the bezel. I'll keep shopping around right now all the money is going towards the motor.

I was going to go with a stock motor but while the motor is apart it would only be another 150 to go with a super torque cam vs a kinda torquey cam.

Sweet thanks dude.

I ordered some 4 inchers which got pretty good reviews. Most of the 6 inch HIDs you either had to buy halogen and convert or were to large to fit in the space. These put out good light and are only 35 watt. I am going to run them off the factory harness and switch but use relays and get the power off an aux fuse panel I installed.

Question is, the relays I got are 30/40 amp. Should I be able to run both lights off one relay or do I need to wire 2 in?
Got them balanced in place to see how it would look. Also had to beat/weld that corner back to factory specs after a few roll on that side.

Waiting for the tank brackets to show up but there should be plenty of room for 2 tanks.

First off, Looking good, Bro!

To answer your question...Yes, one relay will be sufficient to run those lights. Given the fact that they are only 35 watts each, that means, with the correct math, they should only draw about 3 amps each for a total of 6 amps for both.

i cant believe i've never seen any of those old pics of your truck.

the lights look gey in there. put them on the bumper and put stock lights in the bezel. or hella 6" they should fit yours lke they do mine.

Was kinda thinking the same thing. But was going to spray everything behind the lights black so it didn't stand out. What lights are you running? Those HIDs are F#ing bright.

And the motor is being rebuilt at Yotamans and propane stuff is in the mail...

Hopefully start on the bed tomorrow.

Oooohhh those look good!

Thanks, it's killing me that I cant get the truck out of the garage to test them. Hahaha

Got a little work done today, but been busy working a ton to pay for all this crap.

Got Propane?

Built a platform for the propane tanks to sit on. It's all 1.5 inch .120 wall, so it will provide the tanks some protection. Just need to weld the tank brackets in and weld in a positioning pin(not that it is that necessary).

Tank setup looks good. You still plan on running a bed?

Slolyfe

Thanks, got it all painted last night. Yea I am going back to a stock bed dovetailed with the whole center replaced by expanded steel. The biggest problem with that is, right now I have a shortbed I got for cheap. My truck was a longbed originally. So the wheel well on the bed is 7 inches off the center of my tire.

Looks like the only way to make it work is:
1. find a longbed and bob/dovetail it.
2. take the shortbed I have and bob it, then take the cut out section, and add it in front of the wheelwell.
3. tube out the rear and slap bedsides on it.

#3, but we'll still have to section the bed sides in the front

Well here we go. Got tired of looking for a long bed so I said flopp it.

I took my shortbed and decided to bob it then put the bobbed section in the front half to stretch the wheel well back.

Cut the center out.
