Timing chain guide was in pices in the oil pan and a small bolt got into the head and was stuck up in the Head that was where the nocking was coming from. What should I do about the head just get it milled and run it :dunno:

Doesnt look too bad. I would have the head at least checked. Do you what the compression was when it wa running? That would be my deciding factor on a total rebuild.

You can check the block with a straight edge and a feeler gauge, ill show you how sometime if you want to find out how close to level it is. If it's not within specs then you can have it milled.

Your motor didn't have a blown headgasket. One of our buddy's has an old head from when his motor had a blown headgasket that he is thinking about using.

Getting the calipers on except someone decided to stuff standard bolts into the caliper mounts on the passenger side knuckle :shake:, but gotta love the ferrari red. Transmission and duals are in, 2wd to 4wd is official now. Floor is gonna need some modifying, thats the crawlbox shifter you can see in the old tranny shifter hole. Were is everyone getting there transfercase mounts? They are $ brand new and we have not found anything at the pick n pull, so he might just buy the hd mounts. Once we get that figured out we can fab the mounts for the crossmember.

zebracrawler

Got my Case mounts ready to finish up the cross member inslation

Well he drove it sorta. Backed it out of the garage and coasted down the hill, as soon as he gave it gas there was a loud pop and then no drive. Were thinking it's a crawlbox issue for now. I'll toss some pictures up tommorow of it out of the garage.

Edit: When we went to tow it back home it went into gear and moved a few feet and then nothing again :dunno: i'm kinda thinking it's a transmission issue now.
