cone washers are easy once you get the hang of them, what i do is take a small pick and pick away all the gunk in the split in them, then take a small flat head and put it in there and turn it. take a 12mm nut you dont care about(like a hub nut but not your hub nut) put it on so the head is right flush with the bolt and give it 1 good wacker with the brass hammer and it will come right off. do not beat on the hub bodys or the studs by them selfs.

Good work destroying the old cv's  . Oh and you're truck is just screaming for a sas in the last pic  :yesnod:

Edit: looks like you could use an alignment aswell, or is that just the pic? Could that be causing your steering problem? My taco use to get a mind of its own and pull hard one way before I got it aligned.

you mean the gangsta lean? haha i think its just the picture, wasnt leaning when i looked at it haha

No, I mean a tire alignment. Your truck looks camber in and toed out from the picture, you know like a tire shop would due when they put new tires on?  Are the insides of your front tires wearing more than the outside?

locked 4x4

My old 82 truck had holes in the floorboard and I could watch the front driveline spin a little bit when I drove down the road in 2wd.  it wasnt a big deal.  I think its normal.

I would check to see if you got water in the dist cap when washing the engine, and also make sure a connector didn't come lose.. lots of stuff can happen when you wash your engine and water starts getting into places its not supposed to...

and stay out of mud, let the chevy's do the boggin!!!!!!!!!
