so, little update- got axle seals from napa(im too impatient to wait for them from skys) and got my axle completely rebuilt up to the spindles. all i need now is my ifs hubs. also cut one of the frame tubes, and MAN are these frames thick haha. lets just say ill have had enough of the cutting torch for a year or so. i also got my springs, went with the 3 inchers instead of the 5 inchers. im happy about that, because 5 would have been way too tall. and i got my rear u bolt flip kit. sooooooo, long story short, everything is SET for this weekend(i hope) oh and anybody know how far forward i should move my rear spring hangers?

that is all

shitlbuffout-A saying among 4x4 and off road enthusiasts. Its said after damage normally cosmetic to minor parts damage has occurred on there rig or vehicle. Shitlbuffout is :pokinit: will buff out as in the :pokinit: being the damage will buff as in painted over cleaned polished or "buffed" out.

Hi I'm a newb I have a a quick question was it hard rebuilding the front axle or is it a job anyone can do. And that's a really nice rig your building. And that axle looks clean bro. Sorry for the dumb question. It's just that I'm trying to rebuild mine and I'm new to rockcrawling.

87hillbillyoter

no worries, its pretty easy, as long as you put everything back in the right way, and everything is good. my suggestion is to have all the parts BEFORE you tear it down, that way you will remember how everything goes back. thats where i went wrong

I asked bobby longfield himself about this, when doing my first axle, and he said in fact you do need to run them, it allows the birf to walk around, and causes premature wear. Those are the exact words of bobby longfield.

Your best bet would be to call SKY  and ask them   we can all speculate all day long   . I have not used the set up you are running  so i can not say with certainty.

md_530

i think we will go with that then ha.
