Author Topic: Making Of The Willy Mammoth (Read 783497 times)

Been finishing up some loose ends. Removed the fuel lines and moved some electrial wires away from where the exhaust is going to be and hooking up the charging system.

Still need to pull the transmission and figure out why it does not go all the way into 1st and 3rd.

I am hoping we can take it for a drive this Thursday night, I need a foot long Coney.

Saw the videos, congrats! the sound seems perfect, great job done.
Mark you need to take your Mrs out for dinner to some fancy restaurant for the patience she has shown.
Saturday I started the 1HZ-T 6 cly of my Ford F1 project, put a glass full of champaigne on the valve cover and no ripples, smooth as silk.

truth is, Gibli, I am behind Mark 100% on the Mammoth and always have been. I encourage him all I can and help out if there is anything I can do. If he had extended the front end as he thought he might have had to do, I would have been able to help on the body work.

It doesn't take any patience on my part. He's the MAN

I am sure without your support it would have been difficult for Mark but not impossible judging by the hard work he has put in Willy.
I'll get Patricia to read this one, cuz I am supposed to leave behind all traces and dust of re-building/maintenance at my factory.

I don't know how much you've gone through this whole thread, but not only do I not worry about the traces and dust.. when I can help, I'm as likely to track it in as he is.

I get to do all the grunt work... like cleaning the engine...

I just wish there was more I could do to help him with the mechanical and/or welding and fabbing, but he's the man for that!

Just like my wife the other day! I finally got my motor in, and all she does is go get the camera! Then she tells me I need you to lie with your head here, so I can get a good pic.
