Ahhh, good to know the Mammoth will be good to go in Sept.  Now if I can only get the Beasmaster's exhaust buttoned back up.

I was going to pos these last nite, but the board was down.

I cut up the center part of the housing I removed to make pieces to fill in the gaps.

This is how it is going so far.

Mark,
Before you install the 1KZ, (please) remove the EGR pipe connecting the intake manifold and Turbo and see if it is free from carbon deposits. If you find carbon it would be worth the effort to remove the intake manifold clean all the inlet ports,  servicing the EGR vacuum valve, specially the area of the shaft emerging from the vacuum chamber and going into the gate. This portion of the shaft is in the open and gets rusted resulting in sticking of the vacuum valve. This eliminates the ALL VISIBLE black smoke and dirty looks from anti pollution buffs. :)
I will forward a chart from one of the Toyota manuals explaining how to reduce/increase fuel and also if there is black/white smoke.
Cheers,
Gibli

I've been trying to find a new one! It's so him!

For all you ever need in funny t shirts go to www.whatonearthcatalog.com Our team uniforms are just a collection of funny t-shirts. Even when it is cold they ask what shirt I am wearing and I have to take off my coat to show them. I have about 100 shirts and that is the best place to find them. If you can't find one I have a new one I could probly send.

OK, after spending all day welding, fitting, grinding and rewelding here is where I'm at.

I still need to finish plating in the inside to separate the T case oil from the trans oil. I have extra material added to mount the back of the shifter housing that I need to cut down later.

I have fitted the shifter assy and made modifications to make it work. Once all the welding is done I need to machine everything to get a good fit.

Tomorrow is another day. :thud:
