Thanks for all your help and encouragement. I got my pump in and running beautifully. Just some wiring clean up left to do, but she is driving very well.

Having work on this with helipilot77, I would recommend this mod to anyone doing this swap. Makes things WAY easier!

Mark, you are unforgettable. So glad to see you back in the saddle. I better start lurking more so I can catch up too!

I think FFC's comment was directed at Mark, not the other Mark🤪

First test drive and it runs good, could use more power.  Will need to have to pump upgraded with more fuel. This pump was for a smaller engine. So it's not putting out enough fuel to get this engine up to speed with a good push in the ass.

Willy, I'm having the same sense with my 4m40 pump install. However the fuel economy and the unburned diesel all over the tailgate tell me it's pumping plenty of fuel that isn't getting burned. I think what it actually needs is to have the timing retarded a bit. Also the EGT's are getting higher than they should if it was timed properly.

That sounds like the timing is retarded too far. Advancing the timing should lower egt and give the cylinder more time to burn the fuel.

Air stack needs to be on the other side, if you still have something to hide over there.  :teeth:
