hey guys- im running out of places to look and i dont really wanna pay the local parts yard an arm, leg, first born, and a testicle sooo..... im looking to buy a tailgate for a 86-88 yota pickup. color doesnt matter at all, id like it to work/latch-unlatch. as for dents- well, the less the better but... as long as the dents do not hinder operation i should be ok. id like ( i know- id like everything ) to stay in grand junction, hopefully no out of town traveling. im gonna try to do the tailgate swap to my 4runner

Nice!  So far, I like my tailgate conversion.  I know I'll like it even more once I lose the hardtop for the summer.  I still have some work on mine (small stuff like cables to hold it up and finding a new handle).

sorry, i know this isnt the place for chit chat. ive been told that a few of the earlier pickups, like fords and dodges and a few others had gate cables on them. they kinda "clipped" on. thats actuall what im searching for now online. thanx for the help by the way.
