I've got an 85 W56 5-speed transmission from a 4Runner that I'd like to get out of my garage for $150.  I've never installed it nor driven it so I can't tell you it's history.  It was pulled from a parts truck I had 3 years ago.

i might want that trans from you is it a forward shift or top shift also if anyone had a ifs rear axle they want off there hands let me know

trd elocker third stock gears with wiring push button ready to go it comes in a rear housing with no shafts or brakes... i would also be willing to trade straight up for a third with 5.29s and a locker... $500

I have asked around about this APR Autocare... haven't heard many positive responses about them. They always have something for sale and I bet you could take that turbo Runner for under $2500 easily. They usually get their stuff from auctions or salvage lots so they don't pay much to begin with; put the boots to 'em and get a deal!

There's some 3.0 radiators at the yard if you need; I can pull one if you can't find one elsewhere. Might be some 3.4s also; I'm going tomorrow so I'll check.

Still got the truck. I got a new DD 1993 4runner SR5 with a 3.0 and an auto 169,000 on it. Thing is fully loaded and has a few problems... rad leak, ADD is vibrating so i want hubs, key hole problem on the driver side, and a few dents and a scratch. I bought it for 1,300

Thanks for looking for me, let me know what you find. I am pissed that the cash for clunkers cars had the motors ruined. I saw a few tacos with toasted motors

Well the few radiators that were there had been poked pretty bad from careless people (AKA Ass Hats)... and there was an 02 Runner with a 3.4 (I think?) in the Clunker section... but like you said the engines were destroyed. What a waste.   

Maybe next time; I go there about 2-3 times a week just to browse.
