You must do MOAB, if not only once in your life. There is plenty to do that won't kill your rig, I took my fairly stock 80 LWB and it was a blast. Of course most people will tell that I take my trucks places I shouldn't. :gap:

I plan on having my sons 4Runner ready for MC and it probably won't look the part. I'll get there one of these years.

He's right, Moab has something for everyone and you can do some crazy stuff with fairly stock trucks.  It more about angles and nerves than ground clearance at lot of the time.

x3, i used to have a 96 taco that was bone stock and it went up and down lion's back twice and over hell's revenge.  Even did a hot tub on Hell's revenge.  I left 2-1/2" wide gouges all over the place from my rear receiver dragging on every ascent.

Hey, you gotta drive it for a while on that swap before you post here my friend  :slap:
Just jivin'

Well I have changed out my tire's and have been driving it everywhere I go for about a month, now there have been a few thing that I found that I dont like and I am going to have to fix but other than that I love it. I am going to do my brake's up front soon I'm still running the stock 85' setup, and I am going to do a long arm on the rear.

A long arm it would be cool if you could make it work. Since most people just swap to leafs. Although Im not sure its worth it since it runs such short coils anyways... :dunno:

I have an Accord also, haven't driven it in 6 months. Bought my first yota for $800 of craigslist, it had been rolled but it ran
Just painted it tan a few weeks ago and thought it was real original..........damnit, oh well. Been rebuilding it bumper to bumper. Its a dirty mutt of about 12 diff 1st gen 4runners + the rear axle, but almost everything works. Not bad for an 85 with 190k. Have had 2 years now, Im extremely addicted now.

Mostly stock, has a 3in body , was on it when i bought it, 4in rear springs, 03 taco axle, 5.5in front shackle

The list:
Have another tcase, just need adapter, 299
Have hoops, no shocks 150
Thinking lockrite? 500
Almost bought ifs steer box today, went for the a/c compressor instead, i live in tx 100
histeer 299
RUF
Dom front, sliders, rear, and interior, minor exo

I will be starting a build-up soon

Then im happy

All Im lacking is a flux capacitor and the ability to hit 88.

wait.?.? so is the red black and tan truck all the "same"? Definitely a killer setup at the end there. Your seat fabric with the SR5 is cool to. I love retro styles like that. Perfect candidate for some brown/ dark tan factory stripes on the side and hood.

Thought Id give this thread a bump..

I picked up this 85 in February as a birthday present to myself and have been DDing 3 to 4 days a week since then. I had to chase some electrical bugs and what not. I think I have it sorted out now. I just put the 35's on today

Ive been collecting parts since then as well and should be starting soon on the good stuff. It had some Marlin Goodies on it when I got it: Marlin rear bumper and Marlin 4.7's in a single case for now. It has an R151F and Tc out of an 86 as well. Marlin Front bumper to be put on this weekend. Marlin Histeer, knuckle rebuild w/ Eco Seals and some other stuff to come very soon. Just need to install it along with the IFS box:)
