I thought you meant that was your only way to work, thru the forest, in ruts, over rocks, up the wall with the nice sack picture painted on it, etc. I was gonna say you should get a job where the roads are a little nicer. Now I get it. Bear with me.

Yup I fixed it, I high lifted the roof out, glued a new windshield in and made a sun roof out of plexi glass. Look at the picture of my truck flexin with the Iroks, thats what it looked like after I fixed it.

donutman126

In fact most of those pictures were taken after I fixed it from the roll.

I definitely like the wheelbase better on my runner than my jeep. Seems to really help. Who knew 8 extra inches would make such a difference.......I mean, uh, er, well nevermind .   :ack:

Shoot, its gonna make its way into the sewer drain somehow ( im good with oil but not perfect). Our city ran that to the river. but i can't drive through said tributaries of such river. I just wanna wash my truck "the natural way".

Damn you are a hippie aren't you.  I remember when the Sierra Club had a 4x4 division. They were a little over the top but they were still wheelers. I've got no problem with conserving nature for us to enjoy but have a big issue with not being allow to even enjoy it.

We actually have a similar rule in TX.  You aren't allowed to drive in a navigable waterway.  Pretty much if you can run a canoe in it, you can't drive through it.  Oklahoma may be a different story, since that's where they were.

BINGO, i went to High school in Ashland OR. You arn't allowed to smoke cigarettes in the park, wouldn't want to intoxicate the trees. This was before we banned it in the bar!

I can understand that. We have Lakes that you can't run motors in here. So theres definitly a grey line in who gets to use where to do what. I can't complain to much, my backyard ("my" woods not the 10' square of grass in the city) is the most beautiful place i've ever seen.

Holy off topic. Sorry. So back to pics. Not my daily driven wheeler. But my Sunday Fun driver that gets used daily when the runners on its cycle.

There are several levels of daily drivers or at least there is a difference between a rig that is driven to and from work and one that is capable of handling extended trips as well as trails.  Both my 85 truck and 89 4Runner have been driven from Washington State to Moab for a week of wheeling and the 4Runner made the trip to the Rubicon.  There's a special balance required to "comfortably" handle 70 mph all day still be capable of running the difficult trails.  The last trip back from Moab was done in a single shot with nothing but gas/food stops.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

Mine's driven to and from all but one wheeling trip, plus daily driving to work, school, the grocery store, etc.

I love it. To have that level of confidence in what you've built says a lot. Mine is my only car, and it gets wheeled, but I must admit I wouldn't rock it to Moab and back, at least not at this point. I'd want Longs, spares for the rear, spare 3rd, maybe a spare case. All in due time.
Good on ya my friend.
