Well i went down to fire up the truck and go get a Dew but when i walked by i smelled gas fairly bad. Since my gas tank is fairly exposed i took a look and...yup. Iv got a big leak. its coming from the metal tube that drops into the tank. I fucked it up when I dropped the tank the last time and then I might have dropped the toolbox onto it while positioning it yesterday. But i need a new drop in part. The one that holds the fuel pump. Anybody got one?
Sending Unit I've replaced on in my 87 once..BTW post some pics of those 40s you got man.and I say bob that bed and put 'er on!Coming along Blake.glad to see you decided to stay Toy axles for now.I'm just waiting on my new rear axle to be takin' out so I can pick it up.. its aggravating as hell.
Iv only got one of my 40's right now. The tire shop still hasn't swapped em over for me.i thought the sending unit was the part that told the gauge how much gas was in it... Ill take a pic of the lone 40 and what the gas thing looks like.
Pro Comp XtterrainAnd the doohicky that is messed up.Its 2 different drop ins on all the Toy tanks iv pulled apart. (88 pickup, 89pickup, 90 runner)
If 88 is different than yea. It was an 88 V6.I bolted up the only tire to the front of the truck. couldnt set it down though because it rubber badly on the UCADidnt get a picture of the rear when it was on but it cleared by about 1/4" pre-2" bodylift and flatbed.
58psi I beleive...
If i get a chance tomorrow im gonna cut out the FUBAR'd part and clamp in a short section of rubber and see what happens.
hey Blake. ive been driving past your house and your truck looks sik without the bed and bumper. how is that welded rear holding up?
y not leave it red if you bob it. i vote flat bed
I vote bob it because I love the look of bobbed beds but thats just me. I also have more uses for a bed than a flatbed really. Think about which would serve you better.
Either cuts down functionality a lot but im tired of draggin my red bed all over the place. i just really like the idea of a flatbed cuz its less sheetmetla to worry about. plus i can wheel as if i had a shorter wheelbase. or i can turn into obstacles as soon as my cab is clear. make sense? where noramlly the bed would grab and get FUBAR'd
