I cant get the knuckle to pimp itself back on. I tore it apart using the "Camo Method" and i cant get it slide back on.

well i drove the truck down to Corning to see my brother (100 miles one way) and started to get a vibration about 2/3s of the way there. pulled over checked all the obvious stuff and everything looked good so i continue down. get there and we go wheelin for a few minutes and go home. SO then i hit I5 comin home and as soon as i get to redding the vibes get REALLY ad so i pull off and get out and theres gear oil sll over the under side of my truck. i dont know yet if the pinion seal and bearings gave it up or if the gears itself are toasted. gotta go pull it today

yea...i knew what you and others had said going into it but i hoped id have better luck withem and it beat havin 4.10s...so no im on the lookout for some 5.29s or if i can find a deal 4.88s... :down: its christmas money i had wanted to spend elswhere...

My local JY. Im pretty good buddies with them.
I cut deals with them all the time, trade parts, etc.

I got my complete 1985 SA, extra matching 4.30 3rd, and rear IFS truck axle for a total of $40 bucks and blown A340H Automatic and ECU.

I got a complete Turbo SR5 4Runner interior for my 85 4Runner when i was building that..... for free.

ok i got the 4.37 third pulled out and all the gears look good. ni chipped or broken teeth at all. i changed the ujoint that was smoked out and started lookin at the third member. the pinion had some play but then i noticed the pinion nut was loose. so i tightened that up and everything feels snug like it should. no side to side play in the pinion or excessive play anywhere. safe to run? :dunno:

got my "schok towers" built tonight. theyre kinda jenky but they should work...i guess well find out. got the 14" ranchos 9000s all mocked up. ill fully weld the towers on in the AM when its light out

haha yea. my normal bed is back on. im not gonna bob it yet, i really like having bedspace to throw a idrtbike in the bike but if i start draggin over a lot of stuff itll get bobbed.

thanks dude. iv gotta do some grinding and welding on the shock towers then ill postup. its sort of a ford type tower imitation using some metal i found in the back yard and some stuff left over from my driveline.

dude.... you want more of that shock exposed at ride height or you just mounted up some really expensive bump stops.... cool mounts though.

Thats just how it ended up :dunno: Im gonna probably swap on my :bling: chrome marlin 6" shackles soonish. I ended up having to extend the shock towers so they look like :pokinit: now. It was barely too short but i extended it an inch and now at full compression iv got like 1/4" shaft showing. :maddest: so im gonna shim the bumpstop down for now until i ?Buy ford towers or hoops.
