Holy crap blake  :yikes:  Pictures never seem to do rigs justice, they don't even look like 40s in the pics!  Kinda looks like your springs barely have any arch to them too?  Did I miss where you said what all you mixed in with the rears?  It'd be bitchin if you clear those without having to lift any more, definately more stable with it that low!  I'll be interested to hear how you like it with the 4.37's, but definately have a backup plan since, well, you know  ;)

I did a little more fender cutting on mine the other day and thought I was done, but looking at it again I still need to cut them once more for the clearance I want.  I don't even wanna buy 35s, I know I'll regret it and want 37s as soon as I do anyway.  Hopefully I can find some leafs to swap into the front, get some longs and bigger tires, re-gear,  :blah:  and come up and do a snow run or two with you this winter!

RIP KYOTA

haha yea springs are near flat. I put the shackles under the frame so i could keep my springs a little flatter. my frame sits at 26" but i have a 2" bodylift which i might try and remove...not sure yet. itll cause more problems with the rear tires clearing than the front as far as i can tell.

Also my front shackles are only 3.5" I do have some 6" shackles but im kinda worried theyll kil my pinion angle... :dunno: it would give me the extra inch or so id need to clear without the body lift though.

Definitely get ahold of me this winter and comeup. Its tons of fun up here in the snow

Also, if those 4.37s blow up on me ill just swap in my other set of 4.10s til i can gear down. :dunno:

Oh, and I vote for bobbing the bed and cutting the fenders about up to the gas door.  Was it you who told me you built a little stencil or something to trace out the fenders last time you were down?  Biggest bummer about cutting the fenders is losing the factory roll.  I saw this rig on the way back from chico one day and wanted to buy it just to have the wide body glass fenders, looks like there's lots of clearance there

Im goin for as little trim as possible. I shouldnt have to mess with my front I dont think. The rear wants to be a pain in the ass, but ill have to flex and see where it hits and how bad before i get too wild.

And BTW 2.5" is exactly to the gas door  Im just not sure how it'll look with the rear trimmed and the front not...

get a pitman arm puller.... my 1st time around when i put the kit on my 85 4Runner the IFS arm came right off the 87 Box with just several swings of the BFH, but when i put the high steer on my 90 just recently... it wouldnt come of, tried beating the living crap out of it, tried putting SEVERAL cuts in it with a cutting wheel... NOTHING WOULD GET THIS ARM OFF lol SO out came the chevy pitman arm puller (yeah thats was a PITA cause it was made for a larger sector shaft)

But anyways, you sent me that pic while I was in the movies with Bre, watchin The Stepfather. good movie btw.... creepy mostly.

Lookin good though Blake, much better then it used to.

The pitman damn near fell off. I cant get the steering shaft it self to let loose so i can pull it out to extend it.

I got the box mocked up now though where i think i want it. i gotta drill some holes and put my sleeves in then make my top dog ear bracket.

Hows this look for draglink to tie rod angle?

theres no way it will bind or hit. mine was bad and never did. under compression its going to swing back and under droop it will go forward but the tire will be down so low it could never hit. i hate the 3.0 oil pan.

Well heres as high as i could get it today. My piman arm is a 1/4" away from hitting my leafspring, the spring is flat, and the pass side rear was stuffing into the bed. If i trimmed the front of my rear fender and properly bumpstop it I could probably get another few inches out of it.

I hadnt gone all the way up in this pic yet. I had to check how bad the bed was hitting. And actually it wasnt bad. it was only hitting where i bent teh corner of the fender inward.

same story here.

I definitely like the black rims over the white rims.
The black rims looks a lot better than the whites and i sit lower and im wider than with the 40s. Im gonna hangon to em and maybe try to use em for snow wheeling but I cant afford to run em fulltime.
