I know you have updates

:worthless:
not really. i got my steering and shackle hangers. im waitin on my Marlin order. i gotta callem tomorrow and see what the deal is.

also i found rustoleum "sunrise red" almost perfectly matches my truck so i can paint my spare bed and then bob and chop it. so i gotta get it into my driveway again and flip it over and cut if away from the trailer frame.

also if anyone has a set of front fenders for sale let me know.

Either cuts down functionality a lot but im tired of draggin my red bed all over the place. i just really like the idea of a flatbed cuz its less sheetmetla to worry about. plus i can wheel as if i had a shorter wheelbase. or i can turn into obstacles as soon as my cab is clear. make sense? where noramlly the bed would grab and get FUBAR'd

You can design/build the f-bed to be more than the atypical redneck flat deck that we tend to see on so many rigs.  Granted it does take more time to do, but seeing how you prefer to not want to worry about the sheet metal on the trail, an f-bed seems like your best choice.  I know what it is like to wheel both style beds on a 3rd gen X-cab, and for tight trails I definitely prefer the f-bed.

Well i just finished putting the LC rotor on the driver side and got the stock steering arm off when the whole trunion bearing fell apart. I was hoping to get by for awhile without havin to rebuild the axle completely but now theres no way. Ill probably still cutoff all MY IFS this weekend and weld on the new everything and sit the truck on its own weight but pull the axle and pull the truck home with a tow dolly until i can rebuild the axle and then it should be all go.

I did the SAS at a friends shop because he has a torch, better welder, better garage etc for the price of a 12pack of Miller Hi-Life so that was awesome.

We got everything cutoff and cleaned up in about 6hours and then got the springs and everything mocked up with a bare front axle housing the first night. Then today I drug my complete axle down and burned everything in solid and slid the axle under. We didnt move the steering box though so I still have a few things to do.

Still To Do:

-Make fishplate for moving steering box

-Move steering box forward as much as i can, If i can get ir far enough i might redrill my springperches another inch forward

-Get Braided Brakelines

-Wheel Spacers

-Swap my rear 3rd member to the matching(and open) 4.37s

-Rebuild knuckles driver side trunion is garbage

-Diff Armor

-Paint and Remount bed and contemplate bob.

Im also not sure that im gonna need the 2" bodylift iv got on it. :dunno: Havent touched the front fenders at all ill have to wackoff part of the front stuff but i want to anyways to clean it up.

Thanks

i gotta get it all together and see how it looks wiht the bodylift and i might try removing it. If i can push my axle another inch forward ill probably try to remove it. Ill have to trim the hell out of the bed though.
