I hate to say it, but I keep throwing around the idea of going with waggy d44's if I build a different rig.
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

KC toyocrawler make his own D44 to a waggy width, and is gonna run chromos in it, it looks pretty sick you should talk to him about that

WHITE_TRASH

Just put the ton's in it ya sissy!  :P
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

P-DiseToy24

"Anything with spacers suck. My front axle =   :stopit: ... Why, because it has spacers"

Your front axle =  :stopit: cause it has stock birfs, 4 stud high steer, a welded diff, a low pinion, stock gears, stock hubs, stock rock rings, probably stock trunions, stock knuckles, and wheel spacers  :booya: I wouldnt say your front axle is gay just cause of the wheel spacers.

If you got tons in the back you should of just put those on first and not wasted your time with your so called  :stopit: toyota axles

hey dummies dont ask questions just read all 9 pages...god

P-DiseToy24

I dont think I asked any questions there  :headscratch:

808

hey pdisetoy dont be hatin on stock hubs or trunions. the others are gay, but not those 2

Becuaus I don't make enough money so I couldn't throw them under. Don't be a homo in my thread. I just wanted to wheel so I built something with what I had for cheap. Why build a Toyota axle with all that crap? You're still going to have a gay ass ring and pinion that is prone to break if you do wheelin, not at he highlakes. I'm talking hammers.

Any more talk about "how cool your axles are" vs how gay mine are I'll delete it. I think they're gay. It'd be cool wih all that but I k ow too many people that have all that cool suff and they still break ring and pinions. I'd rather change a gay birf out any day vs geting a new ring and pinion. And my gears aren't stock I have 5.29. I'd rather have stock gears though because they are stronger

:booya: Hey man no hard feelins. lol I was just tryin to make a point.  I agree I dont know why anyone would spend so much on a yota axle when theres tons or rockwells or unimogs.  Toyotas axles have a limit to what you can do with them even if they are fully built they will still like you said have a gay ring and pinion allthough a 410 gears set would hold up for a while.

What all do you need to put those tons on?  I got alot of parts and know some ppl who have alot of extra crap too.

I know of guys running ton's with 42s, with 6:17 gears, dual cases with 4.7 and they can bang gears all night long not have any axles issues. I think if you go bigger tires, then you might have some breakage issues. But also alot has to do with the HP of the motor you running. With a 22re most anyone should be fine. V-8 you going to have some problems.

ToYocRawleR

Even with 1 tons you break :pokinit: so where do you draw the line....Just wheel deal with the bs later !!

You beef :pokinit: up and run "fuses" such as not soo beefy u-joints and not soo beefy hubs and carry a couple spares. I would rather change a hub or joint than a input, output, axle, r&p, tcase gears, etc.

Should be getting my Tacoma r&p today and then gotta cruise up to Paradise (20 min) and get my v6 5.29 front... Got the sliders welded on last night and fixed a few bolts that were fagged off. Probably taking a half day off work and taking tomorrow off to do the finishing touches.

TO answer, yes. We should be there late Friday night like usual.
