-Matt-

thanks for posting all that brad.

heres a few go pro shots of the rear and front suspension on the same terrain as the videos brad posted. i should have gotten better footage but i wasnt really into taking much video or pics. i wish i could have gotten a better shot of the front suspension with the bumps but all i had was the suction cup mount for the cam so i couldn't stick in a better spot at the time. kinda deceiving but i got it up to 50mph

HOW DOES SHE RIDE?

Are you super stoked?  I bet you are to be finally driving it

-Matt-

ya dude so stoked. it rides awesome. really stable on and off road, and handles really well. its funny comfortably driving a linked front and rear truck 70 down the freeway. im happy i dont need to add a sway bar.

Dingman.

I definitly wanna check it out one day.

-Matt-

oh you will, we will be wheeling together soon.

This weekend?

Nimyad

great job, it's good seeing it on the trail finally. looks like the rear tires did some self clearanceing though lol

-Matt-

Thanks man ya I was gonna trim it before going there but kinda ran out of time and I also didn't think I would fully flex the rear out there. But I was wrong. I'll trim it tomorrow and pull it out by hand and it will be all good. The bed sides are gonna get beat up anyways

Slolyfe

Great to see it come together. Looks great!

-Matt-

every day iv been doing a few more things just to get it more streetable. got the rest of the wiring done, mud flaps, and some other stuff. still have a fair amount of little things to go. got these mud flaps that iv been seeing on a semi around town for a while. they are really nice cuz their stiff flexible plastic, and are meshed. so they dont look nearly as bulky and they dont flap in the breeze going down the freeway. (ECO Flaps 24" x 24" Black Heavy Duty High Impact Plastic Semi Truck Mud Flap : Amazon.com : Automotive)

also i cut out the section of tube that totally took a :pokinit: from that big rock, a lot of the weight from the truck was on it so it didnt just crumple from nothing, it was a bad spot. i figured it would be worth the headache in the long run to swap it out with some .188 wall. i know its gonna get hit often and i figure it will also save the other tubes a lot better. its a pretty good pivot point so at least i can use it as one now. just didn't really realize how ofter it might get hit when i was building the cage.

but anyways, besides that and needing to still trim the rear fenders a bit, i haven't found any mechanical issues what so ever. hope it stays that way. even after being hard on it, it drives just as good.

I like those mud flaps .  Definately more subtle than regular ones.

That must have been a :pokinit: ton of pressure or crappy tube. Also why waste so much time and energy on the fuel tank? Used a ton of bed space when you could have got a fuel cell cheaper and would have been cleaner.

-Matt-

There was just a lot of pressure on the tube.. As for the fuel system. I this was way easier and cheaper. It's all smog legal and stock everything. No wiring or conversion. Yes it takes up more than a fuel cell but it just wasn't in the budget of me wanting to drop a lot of money on a smogable cell.  I only have 50$ into this one for the steel.  If it weren't for smog I would have gone with a simple cell and got rid of all the evap

Slolyfe

Gotcha! Didn't realize it was a smog issue.

He hit that tube on the same rock multiple times.  and it wasnt a nice gentle tap either.

-Matt-

got the light bars on. went for a snow wheelin run last night. pretty decent amount of snow, truck did great. light bars pretty wicked to. hopefully it last, keeping fingers crosses. if not ill buy something else later on. once you get use to that much light.. its hard to not want to have them. consider it like having all the perks of night wheeling... but during the day

Love the LEDs.  You have one of my most favorite builds ever.  Keep up the good work.  And please keep sharing.  I need the inspiration.

and there was about 2ft of packed snow at spring valley. should be a really good base as long as it doesnt all melt before next storm.
