looks great man. the stuff behind the cab is too busy for me, but otherwise i love it!  I'm hoping that you sleeved the tube on every one of those seams in the cage, otherwise its going to break into a bunch of little pieces if you actually do roll it hard!

i messed with the side bars for a week, finally got them where i wanted. no joke these few bars were more difficult than anything else built on the truck so far. its like 7 pieces cut and sleeved together to get it how i wanted because its impossible to do it in one piece.

Looks sweet. Are you doing windshield bars or trying to find a way to get out of that? I ask cause I hate how they look. I'm sure you'll make it look awesome though!

No winshield bar. Gonna tie it and plate it to the body. How you see it is how it will be.

Got the brake system all done. Works as planned. Glad there was no issues

Awesome!

was barely able to pull the cage off in one piece since its so tight, had to man handle it and got a little body damage from the removal, but id rather that then leave it partially unwelded, or having to take it off in sections.

got it all welded and cleaned up, ill paint it tomorrow morning when its cool out, was way to hot to cleanly spray paint today. thought id throw some pics of it off the truck, i thought it looked kinda cool just chillin there.

pretty much finished off the cage today. just have to finish the easy part.. weld the last few tubes to the frame tomorrow. just got burnt out today finishing off the A pillars, that was a lot of work but its rock solid. all 3/16s plate boxed front and back and tied into all the corners with angle iron (cant see it in the pics cuz its all underneath the plate)

things have been moving a little bit slowed because im swamped at work again, plus iv been fabing a lot.. and the last thing i feel like doing after a long day of that is come home and do some more when its 105*F out.

My mind is almost blown!....All it would have taken, was for you to TIG the whole cage AND THEN my mind would have been completly blown! LOL NICE work dude.

-Matt-

haha thanks man.. i wish i was good enough at notching to be able to tig it... my tube fit-up really blows. but since i can weld, and have a few tricks i do, it makes up for it in the end.

hey matt, that is sure a nice taco you got there.i wish someone with your talent made my exo.well done!!those bends look fantastic .i will be keeping an eye on this build for sure!

toygasm

in regards to your sunroof comment.i watched a friend lean his toyota hard into a tree.the top snapped off and came down like a spear onto his sunroof.luckily he had already broke the original one and replaced it with a thick peice of plexi glass.if that tree had broke through,im sure he would have been going to the hospital with either a broken shoulder/arm or hand.i never liked sunroofs after what.that are your plans for it?

-Matt-

I was gonna do the same if mine happens to ever break. Either that or a piece of aluminum would work well.

-Matt-

finally got the fuel tank/system all done. trucks running again. i modded the tank housing a bit so i could drop it as low as i could. had to beat the tank in with an air hammer to make it work out but it was totally worth it. dropped it down a lot. i just hand bent the fuel lines so that they would come off the cab at 90*.. instead of straight. i ended up being able to tuck them up behind the tank, all the wires and lines are pretty hidden.

-Matt-

kept it pretty mellow this weekend, needed to relax. but i got some stuff done. i figured id start with getting the bedsides half way done. i need some sort of reference point to start the tubing. so getting this far puts me in a good place to start bending tube again.

i took 7" out of the front of the bed. haven't chopped the rear yet because im not sure where its all gonna land yet, but i believe ill be taking about 6" out of the rear. ill dove it somewhere around 2.5" on each side. cage also got some good bracing with the way i attached the bed sides.. wasn't planning on bracing any of the tubing but it was one of those things that just worked out.

Jud

Looks sik tight with the bed on it
