Here is how much separation I get with the axle 1.5 inches forward of stock. How much more do I really need to move the box? I plan on runnign the axle about 3" forward at most.

i love oregon wheelin.

axled89

the ideal spot for those tie rod and drag link is parallel to each other.   so move the axle to where you want it and then do the box accordingly.
i love oregon wheelin.

WOW YOUR TRUCK HAS COME A LONG WAY glad you didn't get rid of it!

I have my steering set up the same exact way and I have ruf's. Just move your box as far forward as you can.

The only pic I have but lots of clearance between tie-rod and drag-link...

jrock

Wit the box in the same location I seem to have the proper clearance. I will move the box another one inch forward until it almost hits the body for added clearance but I don't believe I could use up any more. My axle in these pictures is in the location it will be when I put in the RUFs.

jrock

Final location before welding. Now I need to find a welder. There in little weight on the axle. My leafs are almost flat.

Rear setup. No weight in bed.

You wanna go to Hollister tommorrow?

jrock

New springs being built. So far it's 85 rears top 3 leafs (main, military wrap, 3rd), Rancho Add a Leaf and the second leaf of my old fronts cut down 4" (military wrap). I can't get the front bushing out and I don't have a torch  . Trying to see if I can punch out the center metal tube from the bushing or punch the old bolt off the plate thing on the front hanger and replace it with another bolt.  :dunno:

jrock

Pack put together. Clamp on the back is the old one from the stock packs. I bent it up and used the bolt and tube from the rubber clamp thing on the front of the old packs.

Comparing the front and rear main leaf arch. The front looks to be dang close. Have my rears gone flat? Rancho add a leaf is on the bottom.
