Haha, that's what I was thinking.  :gap:

:slap: Broken zipties don't count...  :psss:

But they were my favorite couple  :rivers:

SO, I went to the right and was straddling the gulch but it was too steep. I kept falling in so eventually we gave up (F@#$ing open/open). As we backed up my pass. rear took a detour and wound up in the ditch I had to keep backing up and it kept going over.  :smack:
Funny thing is, my buds truck was going to help me out of the tight spot but he rolled trying to get down to me  .

A red FJ40 drove by us, we asked for help but he refused and asked us for directions to the exit.  We had two rigs, two rollovers and no one to help.  But we're good, we made it out in less than an hour. The V6 had a bit of oil in it's cylinders but that was to be expected.  :disturbed:

Pictures coming.

Trail gear 4"  :dunno: pretty good.

jrock

Oh, and the damage report.
Two leaky beaded (why I carry two full size spares), body damage, broken zip-ties.

And the Yota made the trek back to the Peninsula.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

I now, at least, own a locker, an Aussie to be exact.   Now lets see if I ever put it in.  :hammerhead:  :_oops:

Correction, I now own two lockers.  :cheese: Open/open to locked/locked. Lets see if I can tell the difference  .

Quick question, which FJ rod end do I need for the non-grooved rod end on High steer, R or L?

Okay, that's what I needed.

Is it me or is it harder to take apart a rebuilt axle? The grease doesn't flow out and clean up easily. It sticks to EVERYTHING. Crap.  :_oops:

Tallchevy

And here I thought you was edumicated. Grease is sticky, that the purpose of it  :slap:

Next time I tear my axle apart it will be out from under my truck and in a nice clean garage. This crap sucks.  :_oops:

On a good note, I have two thirds with lockers ready to go in . Thanks to a good buddy. Thanks Buddy .

I have to go find a large rock and test this out  :D.

jrock

Back from Niagara Rim and damn was it cold! I had to call on the help of a saint out of Tuolumne to bring me parts... thank you and sorry about your hot tub :cheese:  I was successful in "bruising" my truck. I broke a drive-shaft joint but it was because there was no grease in it  :hammerhead: , my bad.

Truck with lockers worked terrific. There are some things I will have to get use to like NO TURNING but there are more goods than bads. I was able to walk all over the Rock Pile and Lions Butt without much trouble at all  .

I came home with a new small scratch, the only damage on my truck NOT inflicted by Hollister Hills.

Oh, did I mention it was COLD! Like 19-22F Saturday night. Geezzzzzzzzz.

Pictures on the way.

jrock

Rock Pile,

Me,

NICE WEATHER!
