well, the other day i was coming back from Bismark, (20 miles away)  10 miles on a 2 lane, then 5 miles on the interstate, after the first 3 miles i start up a hill thats fairly long,  about 3/4 the way up the hill (75 mph) i feel the slight bogging of the engine, then i see blueish smoke in the rear view :nerv:  as soon as i backed off the throttle the smoke quit,  i get back into the throttle and no smoke,  i mash to the floor no smoke.  when i get home (about 6 miles later)  i stop the truck and check everything over,  nothing out of the ordinary

so  your thoughts??

Rocksurfer

My 4Runner did something like that once, we were on a trail and a group ahead of us was having some issues. I walked up to see what was going on (leaving my truck running) and when I walked back it was smoking. Scared the hell out of me, I ran over and shut it off, checked it out and found nothing. Fired it back up and it never smoked since. Couldn't find what caused it to do that.

You were turning so many rpms up the long hill that it pumped excess oil into the valve area faster than it could drain back to the pan until it reached the pcv and got sucked into the intake  ize is smart like thatd

NO NO NO,  are plenty strong, higher cr pistons are NOT needed, nor are larger valves, you just need to keep them open longer
