I've been wondering why people mount the shocks like this:???

from 79-83  that  was  the way  they were stock,   in  84  they changed it  but  the suspension flexes  much better with them  like  in the pic above

By tipping them in it allows for more travel without cutting through the bottom of the bed.

stinger?  :reg:  When do ya need it, and how are we gonna take care of that. Dennis bought 2 of my irocs and has to bring my wheels back to me in a couple weeks, if he brings a truck I can possibly send the bumper home with him. Can I trim and plate the lower corners to help with approach at the tires? What is the bolt pattern for your winch?

Yea kinda like that, but a lil different. I could cut half this thing off and youd still have major beef. It is solid, and braced pretty much everywhere possible. I doubt I would have built one this beefy.

Other than the taper there is no reason you can't run the tie rod end on top of the arm.  If you want more clearance it might be easier to order a flat pitman arm though.

Why do you need to? Your springs should be flat when the tre is near touching. Bumpstops are what ya need!

I agree but that pic is taken from above, and at an angle. Glen do you have longer than stock shackles on there? If not you definately have no worries, couse youll bend the springs into a S before they go flat.

:soapbox: Bumpstops! are a must have!, whether you flip the tre to the top or not.  :soapbox:
