Glad to hear you finally got them, but it sucks that they don't screw right in.   But I am sure you will make them fit nicely.   I was in a hurry to send them to you so I didn't put a return add on them.

ive measured carefully  to work it so  that it doesnt bottom out, if it pulls out  well   as long as it doesnt bottom out,  i cant afford a long slip kit right now  but you can see in the last pic i have one ready for a long slip as soon as i can afford it

Sorry about your gears. I've got a set of 4.37's if you want to stay higher geared. They are still in good shape as they came out of the front. Maybe the 5.29's will motivate you to get some bigger rubber.

Your truck looked good this weekend, and flexed up pretty nice.

thanks Josh,  i'll let ya know

Rex,   i was on a  near 45 degree angle  and thought i was in first  to start easing downhill, but  for whatever reason i was in reverse, i let it rolled forward slightly then slipped my foot off the clutch to start  the engine,  needless to say it didnt move :snare: when i started the engine and went to drive forward i heard this crunching sound :nerv:

it would go forward a few feet then the drivers side back tire would lock up and drag, this happened i think maybe 4 times then i got it in 2wd  and  made it on down to camp

later  drove it home 45 miles  at 40 mph nearing home it sounded like i was stiring rocks in a barrel  with a big stick  :headshake:

no  but i got the rear third out today, they seemed to be binding together, i couldnt turn the pinion at all by hand,  i removed the carrier  and i STILL couldnt turn the pinion

removed the pinion nut  and it fell out,  i inspected the gears and it looked like it had gotten hot, ring gears appeared to be  blue in places,  pinion teeth  had  "spots"  i found a place on the carrier where something significant had been smashed between it and the pinion but  what could it have been?? :dunno:
