I cant picture it, seems like the shaft to the rear axle would always be hitting the front axle...
um  no  actually  the front or "middle" axle  would be limited  in travel sort of,  the rear  would be designed to flex  like crazy
as well as the front

i would need to talk with Willymammoth  about how  strong those Nissan divorced tcases  are

maybe a junkyard  ford  divorced np205 :dunno:

i dreamed this idea up a couple years ago  but  convinced myself  it wasnt  worth while because  my truck was so clean,  well  aint gotta  worry about that anymore

So ill take that as a yes...  Do you have any pics of what your thinking?
Life is too short!!!   Do something with it!!!

You shouldn't have to limit the travel of the middle axle, so long as you have enough room for a slip yoke between the divorced case and the axles.

I like the idea, but I would much rather see you get something going soon, and hen mabye tinker with the frame and extra axles you have later. A project like this would take a little time to get everything squared away, then you have all the common bugs to work out.....Get something going so we can wheel!

my xcab is 112 isnt it?

Oops... I did misinterpret you "no SWB" My bad...

How do you like 112? What kind of wheeling are you doing? My 'Runner's a SWB, but I'm thinking of stretching it a bit. Sorry for the hijack, Glen, but I'm wondering what you think about your LWB.  for your input

Glen, are you getting sidetracked? Should you not concentrate on getting some 'Toyota' armour around you! Rental vehicles are not 'GLEN' protected  :yikes:

WHat are the green lines? lower links maybe...  That would be pretty cool, if you run something like that what size tires would you run?

with this set up   when  say i turn  a left turn  the  truck will naturally  lean to the right ,   this compresses  the spring on the right of the truck making it longer in effect  pushing the pass side  rear tires away from each other forcing the rear of the truck  to actually steer itself  reduceing  scrub

this  is  how MACK  has  done  for 60 years

they are  lower links,  which i would probably NOT use

it would be  built to clear 35's  but  probably run 33's

You would have to have the links to controll the axles. The 63 wouldn't work in this configuration either unless you mounted the spring eyes off from rhe axle centerline.

I'd say you were being realistic.  As cool as this idea is, it still means 2 extra tires to buy and alot more weak links, bugs, and it would still be less capable (imho) in an environmet involving anything but mud. How much power would this setup rob from the 4cyl.

Whether or not he does it, it's still fun to talk about how would it work, and how to make it work!  Am I right?  :dunno:  We all know that Glen's first priority is to get the truck running, and after that, it's all up to him.

No matter what, I'd love to drive a 6x6 toy around.  Just see the looks on peoples faces.
