Mike when you ran the pattern did you put pressure on the ring gear and run it both ways ? the pattern is so faint its hard to tell exactly whats going on

I did put a little bit of pressure on the ring gear, maybe not enough, or maybe i didn't run it over the paint enough, i can't really remember.

Ill try to get some more pictures of it later, but i don't want to use the rest of my gear marking compound.

best thing you can do is cut it with a small ammount of gear oil and it will make it last and give a little bit better pattern

i cant remember on the toy diffs of not but i think there is a big washer that goes between the pinion gear and the first pinion bearing. its just basically a big starter spacer, you still have to use shims on it but if you didn't have that in then i can see how you would have used all the shims and still not be close.

You are right and there was no thick spacer between the pinion head and the bearing.

You have a v6 3rd right? I have a bare v6 3rd in the sideyard if your is tweaked/pinched or anything. It has a ARB fitting on it already too.
