So I just got home.  Ended up blowing up my welds. (kinda).   I fully welded my spider gears when I welded it and ended up breaking the side gears where the splines are.   So ended up taking it apart and returning it to open.  So I'm rocking an open rear diff now.

Took off my gay wheel spacers I was running and back to just the 1.5s in the front.   Turns soooooooo much better than before.

Bought a brand new set of 37" toyos and they are on my truck.   Rides a ton better.

I'll post pics soon

Dingman.

Oh. As of now my gears still looked great.  No so bad go settin them up myself!  :)

Thanks for showing me what's up matt.

When those splines on the side gear broke it ended up stripping the last 1/8" or so of my axle shafts.   I have another housing I will throw in soon since mine is all dented from blowing up so many diffs.   I will also get some new axle shafts as well

Jud

I will weld your carrier for you if you bring it down. I'm curious now, nobody has ever broke a dif I welded for them, I wonder if you can... lol

Thanks Jud but I'm going to run open for a little while.   My welds didn't break, but the side gears sheared apart.

it was kind of a pain in the ass.  The shim kit I ordered from work had shims that went under the race instead of under the bearing.   So I just pressed the bearing on at work and then went though trial and error with puttin shims under the race until I got a good pattern.

I'd say a press would definitly make it easier but it could probably be done without one.   One thing that helps is to take some old bearings and Hone the inside out so it slides on a lot easier.   Think of it as just setup bearings.  Then once you get a good pattern you put the new bearings on.  I think it makes it a lot easier

So far I've been up a few times on the toyos and at the moment I'm liking them.  Seem to do pretty well all around.  I'll see how they keep working as I break then in.  So far I've aired down to around 8psi and they bag decently.  I wonder how much more they will do in the future since at the moment I only have around 600 miles on them.

The biggest difference I can tell is no longer having a locker in the rear but things are more of a challenge.  I like seeinging how far I can go I'm 4wd open/open and then when I need it locking in the front.  I am really liking the selectable locker up front.  I would like to get one for the rear too.  It's nice not having the ass end sliding down on side hills anymore.

lilbuddy

Stop being a man-gina and air those tires down to where they need to be (2psi).... if you blow a bead, keep going up in 1psi increments until you stop blowing beads. Just get some midol for your puffy girl thingy and wheel your junk for once. Toyos "suck" so air them down!!!!!!!!!!

Tell Jess to stop sucking and give me my flanges!........even though he is on vacation.

So I went camping Friday night and attempted some stupid boulders and ended up snapping a motor mount on my passenger side and cracked my frame a bit.  I think from my tie rod end hitting my drag link so bad.    So I ended up platting my frame and moving my box forward. Along with replacing my motor mount and chaining em down..

Thanks for the major help Thomas

plated all the way from the front of the frame to the shock hoop.  Shouldn't be too bad
